Amy (DemonKittie) (demonkittie) | 502 comments Now I have set up a book blog (link below) and I am wondering if anyone has advice for getting it out there because I have 0 followers according to my page and I don't really know how to make it more visible. I haven't even gotten much feedback about it. I just don't know how to get out there as I am fairly new at this sort of thing.

It's like it's set up and running, now what?

Tasha Turner (tashaturner) You can use networked blogs to have it feed automatically to twitter & FB. I'm not sure if non-authors can add their blog to feed to GR or not. Let your friends know you are blogging. Some may subscribe or share post of interest with their friends. You might want to look into adding Bloglovin as its got a number of ways for people to find blogs of interest. If you use Pinterest pin your blog post.

One thing you can't see is the people who may be following you using a reader (google reader used to be the big one but they shut it down). People don't always comment so you may feel like you are talking & no ones out there. Use help to learn how to add google analytics to track the statistics for your site. Over time you should see more activity and get a feel for which post get the most views & try to do more posts like those.

It can take a while for traffic to build. I have under 100 people who follow my blog but it has had over 20,000 page views since February 2012 when I started it up as people share various posts.

The most important thing (do as I say not as I do) is to blog regularly. Every x day a week.

It looks to me like you have 2 followers now. :)

She has a follow by email box 3rd box down on the right sidebar.

Amy (DemonKittie) (demonkittie) | 502 comments Thanks guys. Yeah google says I have had 480 pageviews and I only started the beginning of July. I am working on updating it regularly. You should see all the books I have on deck to review. 0_0

chucklesthescot I like your blog and its design but can't follow it yet as I'm not a member of Google plus and I can't do follow by email as I already get over 30 emails a day to deal with! Maybe adding other options like google friend connect and Linky Followers will give more follow options.

I am following you on Twitter though and will keep checking out your blog.

Michael Long (mplong) My new blog is at http://www.michaelscifan.us

BlogLovin seems to be a good alternative to Google Friend Connect

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 239 comments Make sure you put a "follow this blog" link in some where. Wordpress can follow and like other wordpress folks. I guess it might be the same with blogspot.
Aaron, following you now.

Lade (ladet) share, share, share. on goodreads, facebook, Twitter.
according to my stats, most people get to my blog through goodreads.
bloglovin and networked blogs are good.

add FeedBurner to your page.

look for websites that have(are) blog directories and add your blog to them
