How come sometimes when I report finding a stuffed animal or DVD it gets a "NAB'd" and if I click on the original link it's just gone but this one I can see. I do see it has NOT A BOOK as author.
I understand it shouldn't be deleted because it will just be reimported by bots but I was wondering how or why there is a difference between how items are handled.

Actually, if it hasn't been shelved by anyone, you can essentially do both by using the "mark as not a book" link on the edit page. (The link will only exist for editions with 0 shelvings.)
It deletes the book from the database and adds the ISBN to a blocked-from-adding NAB list.

Now that is something I didn't know. I've seen the link but never on something I was planning to NAB.
