How come sometimes when I report finding a stuffed animal or DVD it gets a "NAB'd" and if I click on the original link it's just gone but this one I can see. I do see it has NOT A BOOK as author.

I understand it shouldn't be deleted because it will just be reimported by bots but I was wondering how or why there is a difference between how items are handled.

ex of VHS now gone http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...

Banjomike | 5166 comments They don't get deleted because they have a barcode. If we delete them then one of the dozy import bots will decide that it is missing from Goodreads and reimport it. So we NAB it. If they don't have an ISBN then it is usually safe to delete it. If you click on a link and it isn't there then that means it didn't get NAB'd, it got deleted. NAB is an author.

Actually, if it hasn't been shelved by anyone, you can essentially do both by using the "mark as not a book" link on the edit page. (The link will only exist for editions with 0 shelvings.)

It deletes the book from the database and adds the ISBN to a blocked-from-adding NAB list.

Now that is something I didn't know. I've seen the link but never on something I was planning to NAB.
