Yeah. But I'm not so suree if she's Asian or White. LOL. I know. After reading two books you'd think I'd have that part down, but I'm kinda sure it was mentioned somewhere she was white.

I think Cinder is of mixed heritage, so it looks half-Asian, half-white, a little bit of everything. All I know is that she has brown hair and brown eyes. BTW, all the fan casting is PERFECT! :D
^Agree with top comment, I just imagined Cinder to be a little bit, okay, a lot, more plainer, and, um, not that attractive. But, definitely half asian half white.

At first I saw her as asian, but then half way through the book I was like...wait a minute...is she supposed to be white? lol And then from then image kept shapeshifting in my imagination. But oh well. And that's a good point about her being plainer since she's a mechanic, of course ^^ I'd try to find another plainer Cinder but not many mixed asian celebs come time mind at the moment.

I found another possible Prince Kai who is actually Chinese this time. I'd pick Kris Wu because he's about the right age for Prince Kai.. and he's the leader of Exo-M so he already has that leader, princely vibe going on to me.

Personally, I can see Kai himself being a good Prince Kai. I mean, even the description matches and he seems like the good prince type.

Well, Cinder is Lunar and she spent the first few years on earth in Europe before going to live in New Beijing so I'm not sure what nationality she would look like but the book does say brown hair. I think Chloe Bennet from Agents of Shield would make a great Cinder!

Lily Cole as Levana, Goo Hara as Pearl, and Gong Li as Adri are spot on. I don't know who should play Cinder. Marissa Meyer (the author) says she's supposed to look mixed-race, with tan skin and dark hair. I imagined her looking something like this drawing:
And I don't think she would be pretty in a Shay Mitchell (Emily Fields) way. I think she'd be...tougher looking.

Oh and also I was thinking that the reason why Cinder has an ambiguous race might be because (most likely) very losely based on Sailor Moon (Marissa Meyer cited herself as being a former Sailor Moon fanfic writer) that's what I read somewhere. Even though Sailor Moon is Japanese, speaks perfect Japanese she is also blonde haired and blue eyed and nobody questions it...cos its anime *shrugs* LOL. People have pink and freen and blue hair in anime.

I'm not all too sure about Shay Mitchell as Cinder, but she's close enough. Emma Stone and Angelina Jolie are PERFECT though! :D

So, she could still work. Half the characters in movies aren't correct. In the first Percy Jackson, they were supposed to be twelve, but the actors were 18.
No, but Chloe Bennet is half Asian. In Marissa's description, Cinder is mixed ethnicity.
So not everything is perfect. I think she could fit the role and that is my opinion. If you don't agree, that is okay, but I don't want to hear about it. I am entitled to my opinion, and my opinion is the Phoebe could fit the role. Deal with it.

I honestly think Cinder should look something like this:
I don't really think she's Asian. I mean she was born on Luna, taken to France, then taken to New Bejing. Since no one knows who her father was you can theorize that she was Asian, but I don't think so.

I think Sophie Turner would make a better Scarlet, but you are spot on with Angelina Jolie as Queen Levana.

What about Tyler Posey or Taylor Lautner for Wolf? Seems like they would have experience...Or Hemlock Grove or Joe Manganiello...though he may be a bit too old.

Oh no. It's not that I prefer one race over another or anything like that it's just that whenever I read the book that's just how I imagined it. It never stated anything to lead me to believe that she was Asian. I mean she has no ties to Asia whatsoever other than the fact that that's where here adopted parents live (unless you have a theory that her unknown father was Asian). Everybody has their own images if the characters, thats just mine.
