I can try? Otherwise we can do it in April, because we're not going to get 3 Q's in this challenge XD"

Lol. Definitely not. I'm just so excited to read it! If we can get to it then we can. Otherwise April is good.

You can always read it this month and I'll read it in April :) We don't have to read it at the same time, just as long as we both end up commenting on the thread. And it won't be too far apart anyhow.

message 3104: by Felicia (new)

Felicia Sure! I'll read it if we fill the first board and need a Q for the second time around. :D

Yeah :)

Actually you can take it first time around because I'm sure that your book is more pages than mine. Mine's going to get us 4 points with BR. How many will that one get?

message 3107: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53686 comments Mod
And I'd be okay with not reading my Q this month. So it's up to you :)

Felicia @Michelle & Edit~A, what day would you lovely people like to read it? I'd prefer mid March if that's okay with you two?

@Maddie, I got it in normal font on my Kindle?

Maybe that's why Maddie and I have an issue. Is your edition an Epub? Because we both have Kobo's and have a font issue with PDF formats on our Kobos.

message 3113: by Felicia (new)

Felicia @Book, so this is gonna sound terrible. But I have no idea. Lol. And I don't know how to check. I just press the button on NetGalley to send to my Kindle and it does. And it comes up fine? Lol.

message 3114: by Felicia (new)

Felicia Okay. Actually I just checked NetGalley. When I press 'send to Kindle' it sends it as a protected PDF it says? I don't know what that means. but the font is the same size as any of the books I read on my Kindle that aren't arcs.

Must be a Kobo issue then. :/

message 3118: by Felicia (new)

Felicia Do you guys not use Kindle? I mean I don't really know much about e-readers. I didn't even read electronically until like November of last year. And even then I read on my iPhone. Not even a real Kindle.

I think mid March is ok, around the 17th maybe? I'd like to have enough time to read it and post the review before it comes out and I tend to read very slowly on my Kindle. (:

That's one of the things I was concerned about when choosing between getting a Kindle or a Kobo. (I ultimately chose Kindle cause the books were cheaper :D). Have you guys tried using the kindle app on a phone/computer? I'm pretty sure you can send to multiple devices from Netgalley. (:

I got a Kobo for two reasons. One it was 'water proof'. Two it was the reader for my local store Chapters so I figured it would be easier to get tech help and buy books. Plus I don't really like Amazon that much. Now I'm kind of regretting my choice. :S

I know my mom uses that on her tablet. I might consider it if I can somehow get it to my Kobo since my phone dies way to quickly for me to be able to read on it.

It's mostly Canadian. It was part of Chapters for a while and then seems to have branched off. Chapters uses Kobo 'format' when selling e-books.

Not really but I like that I get points at Chapters since I can get free books that way. Plus shipping is always free as long as you buy over 25$ of books/other stuff. I don't like Amazon because they don't have points and they offer second hand books which usually aren't a good prince/in good condition/ have large shipping fees. Chapters is just more familiar and easy for me. :)

how do you send to the kindle app though? do you just click send to kindle? does it ask for an account and device and stuff? Because I'll do that if I can xD

Alaina (ameserole) Maddison wrote: "how do you send to the kindle app though? do you just click send to kindle? does it ask for an account and device and stuff? Because I'll do that if I can xD"

if you have an account with kindle then you just have to set it up on NetGalley so that when you get a book you have the option to send it to that account.

message 3137: by Felicia (new)

Felicia There was a process I had to do to get my first arc on my Kindle app. I had to like allow NetGalley to send me stuff. But when you click to send it it gives you directions on how to be able to allow it. Only took me a couple minutes.

Aww, I love Chapters! Though I rarely buy stuff there. But I do love the free stuff, I just got two books for free because of the $10 that you could redeem hehe. Honestly, right now I'm only buying physical books from BookOutlet, free ebooks from Amazon, and ARCS from Netgalley. I don't remember the last time I bought a book with my own money 🤣 🤣 .
