It will count as a buddy read for me still, right? To use in the mega month challenge?"

It should because I finished just about 2 weeks ago -- and I just wrote my review yesterday. I would definitely like to discuss more. I babbled on and on, but my buddy was already finished... :D

Any time is good for me -- I just took a brief look inside and I'm already hooked. I don't have much time this month and would prefer to start September 1st, but I can go with the flow -- whatever you both want is fine with me.

I set up the feed, we just need to finalize the starting date:

I already have my 2 Gs: Genius The Game by Leopoldo Gout and Goldfish by Nat Luurtsema (even the UK title: Girl Out of Water is G!) -- lol! But I have no chance of completing the challenge anyway, so it doesn't matter to me... To tell you the truth, I took at look at Glitter yesterday and it grabbed me!

How about the 28th? Then I can see how much time I have. I'm still traveling -- won't be back home till September 3rd, so its all luck of the draw for me this month (I don't have internet access much either).

If you go to 'activity' (using the drop down menu next to your profile picture), and then choose 'pending' on the little drop down meno on the right of the page that comes up, it will tell you if your request is still pending or not.

I think your book was archived. Most publishers tend to archive their books by a month or so after its publication date. Once they archive a book all pending requests are automatically declined unless you send in a wish (the "wish for it" button) and they grant access.

I'm pretty sure this is the way it works since that was my own experience with it. Whenever I don't get an approved/declined email I look under the declined section and see the book there and that it's archived. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong though.

message 2541: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 3665 comments Not sure if it means you've been denied or not. But I know the book hasn't been archived. Release day is Nov. 1st and that's the archived date. So they may have just not approved or declined yet.

message 2542: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments megan ••book slayer•• wrote: "It's not archived yet, but it archives in two days... And it's still under my Currently Pending tab."

As long as something is in your pending list you still have a chance it could accepted. Some publishers though will let a request sit until it does archive and at that point it will disappear from your pending list... Penguin is notorious for just not answering requests and letting them sit, for me anyway. But once it's gone from pendings you can consider it the same as a decline even though you never received a mail.
