Wesley stayed looking up at the sky, and a branch broke from the tree, not where he was sitting.
Joelle jumped at the sound of a braking branch. She looked up and for the first time noticing Wesley.
Wesley didn't move, he just stayed there.
Joelle frowned, then she said very softly, "You know, Wesley, I understand."
"my dad maybe alive, but I'm not allowed to see him... so to me he is dead." she said
" Why can't you see him.?" Wesley asked her, coming down from the tree.
Joelle shrugged, "My mom.... She doesn't want him in my life. We did everything together."
Wesley made it down from the tree, and then hugged her.
Joelle was surprised when he hugged her, but she hugged him back softly.
"Thanks.." He said and let go. "We should head back to our idiots of mothers."
Joelle steps back, "I guess we should."
She put her hand in his, slowly.
They held hands and he started to walk back to the house.

"I know at least my mom will. She's been so commanding since my dad left us." Wesley said shaking his head.
She frowned a little, "That's what I thought."
"I just can't believe she took it THIS far." He said to her.
She shurgged, "Yeah, me either. I mean about my mom"
Wesley laughed a little bit. "I figured that." He smiled at her.
Joelle smiled, "I guess it could be worse."
"How?" Wesley asked her curiously.
"We could totally hate reach other." She said

His mother came in and glared at him.

Joelle snickered, "Why don't we go back to my house and I will just heat something up?"
"If you want." He smiled at her.
Joelle walked with him until they got to her house, "Well our mothers will be thrilled."
"Well they said finish dinner." Wesley said to him.
Joelle laughed as she walked into the kitchen, "I think they meant at your house."
"I don't care." He said laughing.
