Dacarson | 8 comments In this http://www.goodreads.com/series/72096... series some of the books are listed as by Alisa Craig, some are Charlotte MacLeod. All my copies say on the cover and title page, Charlotte MacLeod writing as Alisa Craig. The manual says if a book is republished under a new name we change all the editions to the new name. Which name should they all be under?

No, it's the exact opposite. The original name is what's more important.

For each book, every edition should have the primary author as the author name under which that particular book was originally published. If some of editions were later published under a different name, that different name can be listed as a secondary author on those editions.

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Okay, I think I have them all sorted now with Alisa Craig as the primary author. (Someone will have to keep an eye out for new editions coming in later under Charlotte MacLeod's name, of course.)

Dacarson | 8 comments Thanks. Must have misread that section but this is why I asked instead of just changing things. Back to entering the almost 2000 preISBN books I have.
