J, it's because he posted one thread in the promotions and advertising folder, which is where you're allowed to promote your book. From what I see of your comment history you posted about your book in many discussion threads. You may not have intended it to but your posts in the discussion threads seemed a little like self promotion, especially because you didn't join in any discussion in these threads. We welcome authors in this group but would prefer if you joined in with discussions and only advertised your book in this folder. I hope you can understand (it's nothing against you or your book) and feel free to create a thread in this folder :)
