I liked the concept of it,but can't say I loved it a lot.I felt as if there wasn't enough action.I wish at least we saw more of Eva and Ryan.

I liked Eva better, she was just so much stronger and had more about her.
I really think she should have been the dominate one.

--I'm really loving this idea; it's unique, intriguing, and really suspenseful! I'd love to know more about this...do other people's souls "fade" away entirely like they're meant to, OR is everyone still split in two at least in their own heads? In other words...how do we know that anyone ever really "settles"?
--I had a feeling, when Lissa/Hally started following Addie/Eva around, that she knew what was up. It intrigues me, though, that both her AND her brother (Devon/Ryan) remain unsettled. Is it because of their "foreign" (in the words of our narrator) blood, or...?
--What are they going to be doing at the clinic she's being transferred to...and will she ever be allowed back home?

--Ugh, the people at this clinic are creepy and gross and just...bleeeeeech! I don't like them. I don't TRUST them. What was up with the kid on the stretcher that first day? And the way the (nurse? doctor?) lady reacted to seeing him?
--Is Jaime the kid she's later arguing about with others? Why does she care so much for him? Are they related, or...?
--Also, HELLO Addie, wake up! DUH, obviously the vaccine was a trick, obviously the alarm was a trick. Ryan warned you; why don't you ever listen to other people's advice? Stop being so stubborn.

--Okay, sure, let's climb up to the roof. That's such an amazingly devious idea, obviously no one's going to find us up there. I mean... I'm sorry, I get it was sort of fight or flight and all that, but... XD
--How do you fall off a roof and survive?! With nothing more than some bruises and cuts? How did she not break her entire body? I mean it's not a tall building, but still, it was like...40? feet from the ground... that's enough to hurt yourself.
--You know, it's kind of creepy they're keeping Jaime in the freaking basement. Also, I don't understand what they're even trying to achieve at this place... they're basically playing God, choosing which souls "live" and which souls "die"...and it's gross, and hurts my heart. Those poor kiddos.

--There are some really interesting things going on in this read; I'm still intrigued by the world they're in, though I understand how that part is less explained--we're seeing through Eva's point of view, after all, and if the government's been lying about being out of contact with/being better off than the rest of the world, I imagine any explanation they've given for why Hybrids happen would be jumbled and messy.
--The statement Jackson makes at the end of the book also intrigues me. He's talking to Eva about how it's possible to get "privacy" from Addie--how it takes practice, but "everyone does it." This leads me to believe that perhaps, just perhaps, my earlier question was onto something: does anyone REALLY settle...or do they just pick one name and swap out now and then?

I find it weird and interesting that they refer to their body as 'our' body and use the plural when speaking in their mind. I also find it interesting that they have the ability to separate their thoughts and feelings from each other.

The author is also kind of showing her hand (in my opinion) by having Eva be the main voice of the book. It's making me wonder if Addie will fade. (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Interesting world, if you ask me.
But really, fighting hybrids is like fighting the evolution: it will catch you in the end, that's in the destiny.
Dinosaurs couldn't escape the doom, homo neanderthals couldn't escape it, homo sapiens sapiens will not be able to escape it either.

Btw, I have a feeling Hally's brother will have a bigger part in this story.
