Has anyone read Pride & Prejudice & Zombies? I bought it for a June book challenge on another thread.

I really like it but some parts are just a bit disturbing in the first two books. But I love the later books just as much as the first one.

It is! I think you should read it Sunni; you'd really enjoy it!

And I just saw this pretty cool new review of CC at this site:

(Drug books are great. haa)
and i'm rereading Twilight this is my 3rd time dudes
:]

The main plot of The Awakening is supposed to be a love triangle between two brothers and a girl. The brothers are Vampires. I'll reccomend more books to you as I find them Sharda. :)

So, did you like Chasing Harry Winston? I haven't found anyone whose read it to tell me what they thought.

Is Wuthering Heights good? I didn't have to read that one in school.
Starting The Historian
The way it's written is very formal, if you don't have an expansive vocabulary and/or patience this will drive you crazy. It's not a light read. After a while my brain felt like clay, but I will persevere! Other than the things that are over my head, the story is very captivating so far, and it really delves into the old stories that led to our modern day beliefs of vampires. Also, I think that after I read this, other books will be a piece of cake :)

Hmm. I have seen that one more than once in blogs. What's it about?
It's about a girl whose father was a historian, that drove himself crazy over discovering the meaning behind all the vampire myths. Seeking truth, trying to prove it real. Then when he died, he left cryptic letters titled to his successor, which was his daughter. So she goes all the way to Europe to do what her father set out to do, and find the true Dracula. And why he risked his sanity to do so.
Update: I was wrong. It was about a guy that found a book with a wierd marking on it, drove himself crazy over the dracula aspect of it. Made letters to chronicle his research. Then twenty years later, when he's a professor, this other guy gets a different edition of the same book. The professor hands the student his reasearch, and passes on the torch. Twenty years, after that, the former student's daughter found the letters and is asking questions about the research. The story is told while the father is explaining it to his daughter... It's all very confusing.

Here's what I think about it. I'm sorry about recommending it, it was premature. I was looking for a light read after Breaking Dawn, and this wasn't it.
i am reading hunted, its one of the house of night novels...its the last one and i anm also reading the host and night world book one

Sounds too confusing for what i wanna read, which is something that doesnt make me feel like im in school. So i'd rather not read it anymore.on the other hand, the vampire diaries series is good so far...

*Smacks her forehead for not buying it when she saw it at Barnes & Nobles* Doh!

Ooh. Thanks. I'll stear clear then. I'm having same trouble with The Time Traveler's Wife. I went from Breaking Dawn to Kiss of Midnight (another vampire book) to The Time Traveler's Wife and I'm having a hard time getting into it. I'm going to hang in there and see what happens though.

Definitely putting these on my "to-read" list. I saw them, picked them up and chose something else unfortunately. I also want to read some of the Vampire Diaries because the series is coming on this Fall. Has anyone read those yet?
