Well my brothers have all served a mission for my church and 3 of them have gone to spanish speaking places for two years and so they know spanish. Sometimes just to tease us they will talk while we'er around in spanish. They are cool though.

it's really cool to hear it in a spanish-speaking country.sometimes my sister and i use it to hold private conversations in a crowded place like a mall. And of course, it was VERY useful to know when a lifeguard there took a liking to me :S

Stephanie wrote: "I have been told that The Blackdagger Brotherhood books are very good. "yeah, my friend read that series. but she says it's very emotional, dramatic, over-dramatized and kind of weird... but really suspenseful. like, somebody dies every book. and she said that they use brand names A LOT. like, instead of chocolate chip cookies, Pepperidge Farm Chocolate Chip Cookies.
I still love Twilight, but Catching Fire is like my new favorite. IT'S AMAZING! Shame on you if you haven't read it. JK JK!

I just finished reading City of Glass too... LOVE IT!! I am rereading the whole series again. I just can't get enough! Did you know Cassandra Clare is writing a fourth book?

The Uglies, Vampire Diaries and The Shack. Here are some series that got me off of the Twilight high that I think everyone that is a Twilight fan must feel and loved all of them. 1st The Morganville Vampire Series, 2nd The House of Night Series and 3rd I just finished Vampire Academy series (including the last book that was just released).
i've finished charlaine harris' sooki stackhouse series... now im on the black dagger brotherhood series..currently reading book#2 "lover eternal".. but after i finished that, im planning to read catching fire..

I'm getting ready to start In the Forests of the Night by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. She wrote this book when she was only 13 so I'm interested to see how well it turned out!
It sky-rocketed her career, so I think you're safe. ;)

Please do! And if after you read then you're hooked, come hang out with us in the Cell.Who knows?Maybe the WARDen will be there! There's an Open House on the 29th if u wanna check it out.The Brothers most likely might have an appearance then....*fingers crossed*
Anyway.....I'm going back to the Cell now anyway.i've been hanging for about an hour so far
*Has no idea what she's talking about* :S
Sharda wrote: "I'm reading the True Blood books. I know i said i wont any time soon but...well, i got it and i cant help but read a book i have, especially one i shouldn't read.Thank Tiffany!!!! :D"hi sharda, i'm a fan of that series... enjoy the books... i love those..
Sharda wrote: "Please do! And if after you read then you're hooked, come hang out with us in the Cell.Who knows?Maybe the WARDen will be there! There's an Open House on the 29th if u wanna check it out.The Brother..."what cell?im on book#2 of the brotherhood series...
Faye Ann wrote: "Sharda wrote: "Please do! And if after you read then you're hooked, come hang out with us in the Cell.Who knows?Maybe the WARDen will be there! There's an Open House on the 29th if u wanna check it ..."Glad to know u love the books too.Check the acknowledgements, i think she started shouting out to the cellies in the 2nd bk, but maybe it started later.
Lemme clarify, for those who think i'm stark-raving mad...(*cough-Mellz-cough*-grins-)
The 'Cell' is the official forum of the Brotherhood series.Sometimes the Brothers hang out there too.'Cellies' are, like, serious fans who basically live on that website. And to us the Brothers are very very real.
the 'WARDen'is J.R. Ward, the author.U kno, like since we're at the 'cell' she's our warden? It's just a term we adopted.
And she shows up quite often to fool around with us.i think the last time she was on was last night while we were around the fire with the marshmallows.....(obviously i'll come across as crazy here for anyone who doesnt know the nature of the Cell)
And there are a lot of extras, snippets, spoilers, hints, side-stories etc. about the characters and the books on there too. It's really awesome.Does that clear it up? or am i still a lunatic??? :D
Sharda wrote: "Does that clear it up? or am i still a lunatic??? :D"
Yes, I get it now. :D That sounds really cool, it would be amazing to be able to chat with the author sometimes, and mingle with some of the characters. I wish Twilight had something like that, or even the Mercy Thompson series. *sigh* I may bump up the Brotherhood on my to-do list for something like that. =)
~On a side note, I am currently reading Twisted . I'm liking it a lot so far, the characters are very realistic. I've met some of these people. O.o
Yeah, it's, like, the coolest thing ever.Especially since there are lots more insights to the characters due to their interaction threads or if they answer our questions. And there are extras to the books too.Like, if anyone has read the books.......JM and Xhex have a HEA in LM!!!! (if u have no clue what that means, then it wont be important knowledge to you) :D

*no offence intended*
Cuz i'm insane (lol) just kidding...And obsession over books, i've found, takes away some of the intensity from the worst bouts of my depression.I don't know why.But it distracts me from less than ideal thoughts :)
Plus....the books are awesome, anyway.I mean,is there a reason for being obsessed over Twilight???

Stephanie wrote: "I have the Mercy books on my TBR list...are they really good???"
I really like them. Mercy is a sexy, feisty, almost superhero. She sees things as they are, and you are never clouded when you read the books. I really like her as a character. She's brave and strong too.
Sharda wrote: "I mean, is there a reason for being obsessed over Twilight?"
Romance, fighting, ancient werewolf/vampire rivalry, elegant-yet-frightening Volturi, humour, intensity, blood lust, forbidden love, it's all there. :)
Stephanie wrote: "I say if your going to be obsessed about something why not be obsessed over a book!!"Hear hear!!!!
*cheers*
