One of my favourite fantasy series when I was younger was The Echorium Sequence, especially the first book Song Quest. I have recently been lucky enough to interview the author, Katherine Roberts. You can read the interview on my blog =)
Katherine has written many fantasy works or works inspired by mythology, such as her Seven Fabulous Wonders series, and her current Pendragon Legacy - a spin on the traditional Arthurian legend.
