That's it gone :) I think the consensus is to turn it off. If anyone wants it back on, it can go back on. Ah that's better!

Haha no problem, mine too! Maybe if it was in a nice, cheerful colour like pink or orange or something it would have been ok but brown is awful!

Thanks Becca, that's much better!

No problem, should I send one tomorrow for all the challenges? I was thinking about the thing we were talking about in the email - maybe we could have a thread of ideas?

A suggestion or idea thread seems good to me. And I will add my thanks to Jenny's re: the poll reminder. And to everyone's about getting rid of that terrible moderator highlight!!
Did you change your picture? I like it :)
@Jenny - I need to reply too, I forgot to earlier!
@Leslie - no problem :-) Yes I did, thought I should reveal my whole face finally :-P The other pic was starting to annoy me, lol. And thanks!

I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean!!! ;) Glad that it's gone though if it was this bad.

AARG!
Thanks God I was out these days. I'd have hated to be highlighted that way. Thanks Becca of having got rid of it!!!!!

How about having a little Dostoyevsky themed package? Make Dostoyevsky as the classic group read for May and June like Leslie suggested and I would quite like to make the non-fiction a Dostojesvky one too. Since we usually do two books, one could be either a biography or a litery critism of his work. If people would prefer to read a shorter, less intimidating book by him first, we could have a readalong for that.

Sounds good to me but the classics group read would for June & July since we are only taking one month for Nightmare Abbey. I don't know if that affects your plan...
And is the nonfiction going to always be 2 books? Seems a bit much to me. Of course, I can just not participate!

@Leslie: yes for now I think both Rowena and I would like to stick to it granted they keep finishing very close (in the last polls first and second were only one vote apart), since it offers choice and therefore oportunity in a genre that most people don't really regard as their comfort zone. Like all group reads these are merely offers.
We're only on round two, so we'll see how it goes.

OK, good.

Thanks Leslie!
I've finally started moving. It'll take a week or so, for the main things only, but at least I've started! Give a look at my fb profile!

I was thinking to set up a Personal Reads & Challenges Archive folder in order to move the 2013's there. This way nothing get's lost, but we'd be saving some space. Agreed?

Yes -- can you put two folders into a single archive? That would be ideal.

That would be OK
Think so too!
Now I'm really in a mess: this coming saturday and sunday I'll have to start unpacking otherwise monday we won't have space to place the last things.
See you tuesday or wednesday!!!

So I'm finally back, I had to take some wind down time after my exams, my brain was fried! How are you all?! I missed being here!
What has been happening? Is there anything anyone needs me to do?

Hi, welcome back! Hmmm... I think I need you to relax and read a good book! :P
Seriously, though, I think everything is OK at the moment.
Yeah I'm looking forward to reading again - I've just finished one, which is the first I've read this year! :(
Aw thanks ladies :) It's great to be back!

I don't even have the time to go to the toilet, let alonevpick up a book!
And after the first days when things seemed to go fast, now I feel stuck. Hope to emerge next week, if only because I'll be back at work and have more free internet time!!!

:( I hope that you are making progress settling in to the new place!
Slowly, but steadly: I won't post any more pictures of the study/spare room otherwise I'd frighten you!

Well, it will be lovely to "see" you again when things calm down for you, hope you continue to make good progress - and we miss you!!!
