Which actor was the best?
Brooklyn wrote: "Alan Rickman. He's been my favourite actor ever since I was a little girl. I'm heartbroken he's died."You wrote this on the day he passed away... thanks for your tribute to him!
I have seen Bonnie Wright live giving a speech, and she said Alan Rickman was terrifying to be around. Whenever he was in costume, he was in character. Yes, he did joke around a lot with the kids on set, but she said she was really afraid of all of the Death Eaters she worked with!
Alan Rickman was amazing at Snape, but I'm gonna have to go with Hermione, or Emma Watson. She was really good at it, and did Hermione perfectly. I do not say this lightly. I love the character Hermione, more than I like Harry or Ron or anyone, really, and to say That Watson did an amazing job of doing her is really the highest praise I could give.
Alan Rickman definitely. After seeing the first HP movie, I now here his voice and think of his mannerisms when I am rereading the books, and that is not true of all of the characters. He embodies Snape for me
Oh my skarg, there are so many good actors. But to narrow it down, Alan Rickman, Robbie Coltrane, Maggie Smith, Helena Bonham Carter, Matthew Lewis, Emma Watson, and Evanna Lynch.

I know right? I haven't seen him anywhere on the comments so far...

Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall definitely!
Alan Rickman as Snape obviously Evanna lynch as Luna
Bonnie Wright as Ginny was well done but the righting was very badly done- they just took everything that made Ginny Ginny out
Imelda Staunton as Umbridge- PERFECTION
I think Emma Watson did a good job with Hermione. She really nailed Hermione's bossy attitude in the first movie.
Yes, there was not a better choice for Hermione. Emma Watson did exceptionally. I do wish that there was a different actress for Ginny. Ginny looks nothing really like she does in the books, and Bonnie Wright just doesn't capture her personality.
1. Helena Bonham Carter - Bellatrix Lestrange
2. Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - Hermione Jean Granger
3. Daniel Jacob Radcliffe - Harry James Potter
4. Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint - Ronald Billius Weasley
5. Bonnie Wright - Ginny Molly Weasley
Ok so for me the best ones are Helena and Emma

EVANNA LYNCH & EMMA WATSON! They’re awesome! 😎
I think that Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, Jason Issacs, Helena Bonham Carter, and Gary Oldman all did great jobs on playing their characters. All of them were exactly how I pictured them when I read the books.
I think Maggie Smith was a perfect Proffesor McGonagall and nobody could have played a better Hermione than Emma Watson.

Honestly, I think almost the entire cast was perfect. Daniel Radcliffe, Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, Emma Watson, and so many others seemed to be the perfect fit for their characters. I feel maybe Slughorn could have been better? And something about the second Dumbledore just does not sit right with me (but I do know why they had to change him of course, I just feel he is less magical then the previous one)
I loved the whole cast! The Phelps twins, Alan Rickman, Emma Watson, Michael Gambon, etc. They were all so perfect for the part! I wouldn't have casted anyone differently.
Alan Rickman played an excellent Snape; no one could have portrayed Snape's mysterious and cold yet cautious personality. Emma Watson also did a wonderful job as Hermione. She was, in my opinion, one of the most likable characters with her independent, strong disposition and great one-liners (and extremely attractive, but not that noticed that AT ALL). Lastly, Tom Felton was amazing in the way he showed the complicated feelings of Draco.
I thought that every actor was perfect, just like I imagined. But even though I thought the actress who played Ginny was perfect, I didn't like her acting. And Ginny and Harry didn't even convinced me on the movies.
I like all of the actors/actresses but I especially like Tom Felton, Christian Coulson, Ralph Fiennes, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, David Thewlis, Alan Rickman, Evanna Lynch and Imelda Staunton in their roles.
Gary Oldman - he completely transformed himself into the role. Sometimes I forget he played Sirius when I watch him in other things.
Kevin wrote: "personally thought Alan Rickman couldn't have been a better Snape. I also thought Maggie Smith was the perfect Professor McGonagall, especially after reading all the extra stuff about her on potter..."this is very true, he was so good I didn't notice until I read your view
the whole crew did a REALLY good job. I love Tom Felton's acting cause duh. Then Emma and Helena Bonham Carter!! all of them understood their assignment.
hmm all of the child actors generally got better as the series went on imo, but Tom Felton in particular really shined in HBP and beyond. Alan Rickman was amazing, as were most of the adult actors. Everyone brought something new to the character or films

The worst cast for me was Tonks. She was spunky in the book and fierce. She was pretty flat in the movies, especially Half-Blood Prince. And when the movies were done, I remember an interview where she said she wasn’t really sad that it was over. Sure, she wasn’t in the first four movies, but you can still feel something when it ends. I don’t know, that’s just my opinion.
