[Mantha8225, The Terrorist]

This is a forest near the Shed and City. It is barely alive after the Atomic Bomb went off.

[Ricky]

Ricky sat on a charred tree stump, glaring at the barely-visible outline of the shed behind him. He held up the remains of his glasses and imagined what they might look like as a mini-sword. Almost delicately, he worked the spidery twists of black metal into the shape he desired.

"Did not know I could do that," he whispered to himself as he watched the faint sunlight reflect off the slender ten-inch blade he'd just made. "Now what could I attach this to so I could make a proper weapon?" Ricky looked around at the trees, then pulled a branch off one of them, froze it with a blast of ice, and attached the blade to the end. But after only a couple seconds of waving it like a sword, the ice melted in his hand. Deciding it would take too much effort to keep it frozen, he pulled the blade out and discarded the frozen branch.

"Hmm..." Ricky thought to himself. "Maybe that tractor could be useful for me."

Daren transported to a long dark shadow on the branch of a towering dead tree. He yawned and then looked at the dark sky and twinkling stars, glittering above him. He hated it, the sign of light. Using his newfound power Daren blotted the view of the stars and then grinned merrily.

As he stared he could feel the sense of movement. After all, darkness was everywhere, and he adored the cold silent night. He felt the presence of movement under a tree. It was an animal, a small bunny moving through an unsearched hole for shelter and food. He laughed as he felt another presence of a snake ahead of the bunnies path. Life, was such a miserable, yet entertaining experience.

Daren started feeling bored and thought about a disco dance party. He imagined himself dancing with other clones. Random colored lights flashing on and off, balloons falling, bubbles floating and then bursting once they tap the ceiling...

Daren smiled, he could actually make a disco palace just for himself. He jumped off the tree and a swarm of darkness enveloped him.

Melody tried to walk, she honestly did, but the wings on her back did not agree. As Melody was struggling to stop the nervous flutter of her wings and trying to use trees to help pull herself down, she did not see the branch before it was too late. "ow!" Melody cried as she froze up in shock. Of course her winds stopped fluttering when the time was most unconvenient. Melody was up at almost the top of the trees. She gresped at branches as she fell, but caught nothing to stop her fall. Bracing herself for impact, she squeezed her eyes and fists tight and fell into darkness. This was no ordinary darkness. This dark as darker and thicker than anything Melody had ever felt before. "Hello?" she called out nervously. Upon hearing no answer, she stumbled around in the dark until she realized that something wasn't right. The moon was huge in the sky tonight. The forest floor shouldn't have been so dark. Melody began to freak out. Finally she resolved that someone would find her if she yelled loud enough. Plopping down on the floor, she took a deep breath and let out a loud shriek.

Daren looked behind himself, sensing the presence of another. He groaned in annoyance and walked towards the loud shriek. His eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness and saw a figure on the floor. Instead of aiding her he decided to have a little fun.

Daren went into the corner of the dark box and created a multitude of little creatures. Their eyes and body parts distorted, creating the most inhumane and horrifying looks. He pointed at the girl and they scattered off into the distance towards her. Daren laughed at the sound of their devilish chuckles and whispers.

Melody looked around her as she saw some light, but it wasn't coming from anything natural. It came from these little, horrific looking creatures. Melody almost shrieked again, but she heard a chuckle that was ever so light. Melody caught a glimpse of pale skin and a mischievous smile. Her eyes clouded over with fury. How dare this person attack her! The next thing Melody knew, a flash of lightning lit up the darkness if only for a second, but it was all she needed. Melody dashed towards the paleness she had seen and cracked her palm across a surprised looking boys face. He crumpled to the floor at her feet, clutching his cheek as lightning lit up the darkness around them.

Daren laughed loudly as he saw his clone vanish after taking a blow to the face. Before the light enveloped him, he too, vanished.

"What?" Melody was at a loss for words. Someone was obviously messing with her. "O.k. fine. Have your fun, but I don't know how to get out of this, and judging by how creepy this place is you're a recluse and you don't want me here. The feeling is mutual, but I can't leave unless you lead me out." Melody planted herself on the ground once again and crossed her arms. Even her wings sticking up behind her seemed to be in a defiant position. "I don't play cat and mouse and you sure as hell don't scare me. So, cut the crap." Melody frowned into the darkness, knowing whoever was out there could hear and see her.

Daren kneel'd down to pet his little unappealing creatures that ran up his sleeve. He glanced at the girl and sighed in displeasure. She was right, he didn't want her here, or anyone. He looked down to hide his face, and walked towards her. "Follow me" He said with a vexed tone.

Melody didn't let the triumph show on her face, she wasn't out yet. "I cant see anything." She stated in the same stubborn tone. Slowly standing up she held out her small hand for this person to take she could be led out.

Daren made a low growl at the sight of her hand. "Just follow my voice!" He said in disgust.

[Ebony]

"Fine!" Melody stood and stumbled blindly through the dark after this rather annoying person. "Hello?" Melody called out when she hadn't heard his voice in a while.

[leanna, Daren, no!]

Daren sighed, "Are your senses so weak? Listen to my footsteps." He put more weight into each step he took. For five more minutes he walked, guiding her through the dark.

Melody couldn't hear a darn thing, in fact it had been about five minutes since she had last heard anything. She attempted to follow what she thought were footsteps, but it was really hard to tell in pitch blackness. Melody stumbled over something and fell, not surprising since she couldn't see anything. "Dude? I am totally lost. Don't you have, like, a flashlight or something?"

Daren heard a thump behind him. After groaning in annoyance, he grabbed her arm, pulled her up and continued to clutch her tightly as he walked towards the seemingly almost never-ending darkness. They still had a long, ways to go.

The clammy hand that was dragging Melody along was actually a comfort. At least now she knew she was going in the right direction...but hthis guy was way taller than she was, most people were. Melody had to walk on her tiptoes. He was practically lifting her off the ground. Melody tried not to show her discomfort, but a moan of pain escaped her lips as this kid dragged her roughly along. Despite that though, Melody was determined not to come off as weak. "How long is this going to take?" she muttered as her feet struggled to find the ground.

Suddenly Melody had an idea. She looked over her shoulder and tentatively began to flutter her wings. She was pulled off of the ground even more, but at least she wasn't being dragged.

Mantha cautiously stepped over a fallen log. There was a thin layer of ash on everything from the bomb, and the gloomy darkness depressed her. She wished the forest could look like it used to. The green leaves and the shrubs, even the poison oak. And just like that, plants started to sprout around her, like they did in those fast-forwarded videos that show a plant growing. Did... did I do this?

Or is this just some aftereffect of the bomb? Mantha pointed her hand at the ground and a nectarine tree sprouted from the ground where her hand was pointed. She stared first at the tree, then down at her hands. "How... wha-?" Her brain seemed to have shut down, unable to process this new information. It seemed to be screaming, DOES NOT COMPUTE!!
She sat down on the log and put her head in her hands, thinking over what had happened. "Well, it's not the strangest thing that's happened recently." She muttered with some amount of amusement. She looked up at the sky. It was a dark blue, and she started back to the shed, a trail of green plants following her.
