I would like to think of myself as Martha because she never let the shenanigans get to her. If I were put in the middle of the trials however, there is no way of telling who I would resemble.
Identify with Proctor. I would not like to be any of them.
I'd like to think I'd have enough courage to be Giles. More weight!!
I was abigail in a play, and I accually liked it quite much.
I could see my selfe going slighty diabolic and strange with a broken heart xD
I've been called vengefully befor, so... XD

I'm the most like John Proctor because I'm hardworking and try to do what's right in the end (uh oh, that sounds like bragging!). I don't have affairs with the housekeeper, though. What a great play! Arthur Miller is a genius.
I wouldn't want to be any of them in that time and place and situation, but I think that the character I identify with the most is Elizabeth.
Elizabeth is a quiet, sturdy sort of person who puts up with a lot of garbage, and is very forgiving of those she loves.

Hales. Definitely Hales. For both questions. I understand his reasoning and I think his intentions were noble before (and after) he found out the truth. However, I can't understand why anyone would like to be like Giles... Is it just me or does he just seem a little dim-witted? Anyway, each to their own. Not judging you, I'm no Puritan.... Ha!
God and be laughing.
