Introduce myself as a Newbie

Hi, I'm Don Wendorf and I just retired from 40 years as a psychologist and marriage and family therapist. I've been married 41 years, have two sons , two darling daughters-in-law and five of the grandest grandchildren ever. I'm now the full-time caregiver for my wife who is very disabled from strokes. I am passionate about marriage and relationships and also about music. I play several instruments and sing in Shades Mountain Air. I read a lot of classics and religions books to my wife and a lot of self-help or professional marriage and marriage therapy books to myself. I also write self-help books on marriage and emotional struggles of caregiving. I'm interested in very creative approaches to self-help books.

Thanks Lori. Thanks Andy. I'm not sure being a therapist was that much help to me. At home, I was on the same turf as everyone else, but all that therapy knowledge just made me very aware how many mistakes I was making as a husband. But, Susan and I made commitments out of love and followed them the best we could, even though it wasn't always pretty.

Hi All,
I have just retired from the dental profession and returned to S.A. after 11 years in the UK.
Pure bliss to be back with my children, grandchildren and my passion, the wilder side of Africa.
I have managed to cram 150 years worth of living into my 65, and now I have the time to really get going.
