Sampson walked into his desolate room and turned on the light. As Kazuya walked in, he went to the desk where his cameras were located and picked the better one up. He immediately hannded it to Kazuya. It was the beet camera that he had decided to bring bit he didn't care. He felt like Kazuya needed it more than he did.
Kazuya looked at Sampson in surprise as he was handed the best camera that Sampson had. "Really? Your going to let me use this one?" he asked, startled. Most people would not do that, it was a nice surprise. He looked through the viewfinder to check and see how clear he could see the image on the other side.
Sampson smiled his half smile. "I'm also letting you keep it." There was really no reason for him to do it. He just really wanted to. It made him feel like a good person. Samspon was always trying to do good deeds. He could never undo the wrong he'd caused but maybe he could redeem himself someway or somehow. Maybe some force was looking down on him and knew that deep down he wasn't a horrible person. He felt ridiculous for hoping but there wasn't any harm in believing in something.
Kazuya smiled more and said "Thank you Samson. This means a lot to me." He hugged the camera closer to him for a moment. "Oh, do you know who your roommate is by the way? I've been trying to find mine." Kazuya dug around in his pocket and pulled out a scrap of paper. "It says I'm supposed to share a room with someone whose last name is Phillips. But I havent found anyone yet."
((oh we can say that the dorms are listing the people by the last names and since neither of them know the others last name they didnt know they were paired together if you want. MY guys last name is Masuda))

At the sound of his last name, Sampson's senses sharpened. It always happened when he heard his name. It unconscious and frankly annoying but Sampson shook it off. "My last name is Phillips." He replied. He had accidently met his roommate. "This could work." He said nodding.
Kazuya tilted his head. "Neat. I agree. This could work." he looked around the dorm, then admitted "I don't have much, mostly some clothes. Everything else was destroyed in the explosion......it's good to know your my roommate though, better you than a stranger." he chuckled, but his heart wasnt in it. Time and time again he was reverting to the memories of the night, the explosion, the death of all those he held dear, gone.
Sampson was content with the arrangement. Even if his roommate ended up being someone else, he would deal with it somehow. He could get along with just about everyone. It was other people that didn't get along with him. He tried to accepted it and tried to move on. Maybe his actions didn't justify the means. "We should go now." He hesitated as he spoke. He kund of just wanted to get out of the dorm. Picture taking would ve better.

It was others that didn't agree with him. Maybe his actions couldn't be justified. "We should go now." He hesitated as he spoke. He just wanted to leave the dorm. Picture taking would be better.
Kazuya nodded, and with an effort he dragged himself from the dark dregs of his memory. "Yes, lets go before it gets dark." He agreed. He looked around the room again and said "Guess i'll have my stuff sent up here now that I know my room and roommate." He thought to the solitary small suitcase being held for him and sighed. He should make an effort and get some clothes, maybe some books. "Where to? The mountain?" he asked.
Sampson thought it was a great idea. What better place for photography. It would give them a great view of the area. "Yeah. The sunset will make it even better." He agreed and walked toward the door. He was glad to have a roommate. Now he could truly get settled and not have to enjoy his own company.
Kazuya smiled and nodded. "Mountains catch the best shadows and make great pictures as a result." He agreed. He went towards the door as well. Maybe Sampson would be able to help him move on....maybe all he had really needed was a friend to be able to keep him from dwelling in a place where he could have done nothing to protect anyone. Even if he went back in time, he wouldn't have been able to do anything, no one would take the place getting attacked seriously, especially not if it was him saying it.
Sampson walked out of the dorm with Kazuya behind him. He never thought he'd be doing any recreational photography with a roommate or friend. He always figured men weren't really into photography as a hobby. He didn't so much mind. He just got lonely at times. He was looking forward to enjoying and capturing the scene. That was a reason he loved photography. Freezing moments was revolutionary.
Kazuya was busying himself with getting familiar with the camera, taking practice shots in the hallways and adjusting the various settings on it. He was obviously more than pleased to have the camera again just from seeing how he handled it. He flicked his hair out of his face and darted in front of Sampson to snap a shot of him while he was off-guard and walking around casually. "Thats a keeper." he said with a smile.
Sampson was definitely caught off gaurd by the camera going off. He didn't mind though. He didn't have any pictures of himself. It was as if he didn't exist. He chuckled as Kazuya walked back around. "Maybe I'll get you back sometime." He wasn't going to do it anytime soon though. He had to make sure Kazuya wasn't going to be expecting it at all.
Kazuya chuckled and said "You had better catch me off guard then, or else I will make a silly face." he startled some girls in the dorm by taking their picture, then he snapped a picture of a fireplace with the fire in it. "So....do you know which way the mountain is?" Kazuya asked, jogging to catch up with Sampson.
Samspson was pretty new to the school but he could only assume that the mountains were off campus. He shrugged his shoulders as he contemplated an answer. "Maybe we'll see it if we walk far enough." He tried. He didn't expect Kazuya to take him seriously. He didn't even take himself seriously most of the time. He chuckled lightly to himself then sighed.
Kazuya chuckled and said "Maybe. I could always try and get an aerial view as well." His wings opened a little then closed back against his back. "It's been some time since I last flew, I'd love to be able to stretch my wings again. You can get some wicked shots from the air." he gave a small smile, but it faded almost as soon as he did it.
