I am interested in learning my readers' favorite characters. What do you like about your favorite character? Why? Discuss any further attributes that appeal to you. Also, who is your least favorite character and why?

My favorite character, by far, is John Doe. As I am writing the second and third books to this trilogy, I have become more attached to him than the other characters, because I have realized just how much of a big part he plays in the story. Although the title is William Churchill, I feel the reader gets a wider understanding of who William is through the many other characters surrounding him, and without those characters, William wouldn't be able to make the decisions he makes. John Doe, though his name is generic and simple, is the most complicated character to me.
