((Yes... I had them mixed up... I shall fix it now))Ren got up from the couch, them meeting was only for the older in the pack.
Cosette shook her head, "No I haven't, but that is changing soon."
Her father sat her down. "Claria we have decided that it would be beneficial to the pack if you were Mated to a male in the Northern Pack. The Alphas son is of age and so are you, so we've decided you two shall be mated. In three days time." She sat there with eyes wide, unable to think of any response."Of course, because you've come of age. Well...congratulations I guess."
(( It's cool... See you.))Ren was called into the elder's meeting after a bit by his father. His father told him that he would be mating with the Southern Packs Alpha's daughter. He sat back completely at a loss for words.
She shrugged, "It's weird."
Claria had no choice but to nod and say she understood before she was sent off to do some packing and get ready for her Mating."Being out here?
Ren nodded a little when his dad asked if he understood. She nodded, "Yeah."
She sat on her bed and stared at her hands. Mated, to a stranger.He smiled encouragingly. "Well you'll get the hang of it, and everyone in the pack is great."
Ren frowned as he walked outside, thinking about all his dad had told him. He was to be mated, to someone he didn't know and frankly they could both hate each other."That's what you say.. You've known them longer." She said softly
She got herself together and began packing some of her things. Her father had said they'd be mated here, that he was coming here for the mating. What if she hated him? What if he hated her?"You'll get to know then."
Ren wondered what she was like. He didn't need to get anything ready, but he wondered how she was taking the news.She shrugged, "I guess."
She packed two bags before stopping, unable to bear anything more. She flopped down onto her bed and sighed.He smiled at her encouragingly. "It'll be fine, I'm sure you'll get along just fine."
Ren walked around the house one more time, before going in to speak with his father about when they were going to leave.She smiled a little, "They probably think I'm weird."
She looked around her room, at all her things. How was she going to leave this life behind.He shook his head. "No they won't. They'll be curious though."
He found out that they were going to leave the day before the mating."I've been locked away for the past 18 years." She said,
She whimpered softly and buried her face against her pillow."I'm sure you're not the first
He sighed going up to his room. Well, he thought, this is going to be fun."I'm the first in a while."
She pulled her blankets over her head and sighed."That doesn't make a difference in the packs."
Ren looked around his room. She would be moving in here with him. He wondered if she would change it."That may be, but try living away from everything for 18 years and then be thrown into the world you have only heard of. It's scary."
She eventually forced herself from bed. It was her duty to the pack to mate this stranger, she'd have to be strong. No matter what."I'm sorry, I guess that's true." He bit his lip gently.
Ren frowned and decided to go out for a run.She shrugged, "It's fine... I'll figure it out."
She packed more of her things and went to eat with some of the pack.He nodded and looked around. "Would you like to go for a run with me?"
He shifted when he got to the porch and took off. One of the pack following him.She nodded, "Sure."
She stayed silent throughout the meal, everyone knew what was going on. She but her lip gently and sighed.He smiled and shifted.
Ren stayed out on patrol with his friend until after dinner then went back to eat later.She shifted also into a small golden brown wolf
She went to bed after taking more of he things and packing them in the boxes someone had kindly set in her room, obviously trying to hurry her. She flopped onto her bed and stared at the roof.He barked softly and started walking towards the deeper woods
He, after eating, went up to his room and sat on the edge of his bed. the next day he would be at the southern pack and meeting his mate for the first time.She followed him.
She rolled over and forced herself to go to sleep.He broke into a run, following a familiar path through the trees
He laid down, knowing he wouldn't sleep ffor hours.She followed just behind him.
She tossed and turned all night, haunted by nightmares and dreams of horrible places.He trotted along happily, he loved his runs.
He fell into a fitful sleepShe followed him having no clue where they were.
She slept restlessly the entire night.He stopped at a stream after awhile and had a drink.
He woke up extremely early the next morning.She stopped next to him to get a drink also.
She was woken up and taken to be dressed and get her hair cut in preparation.He nudged her playfully.
He was pulled around by his father being taken to get ready.She barked at him, softly and nudged him back.
She stayed silent as she was poked and pampered to ridiculous levels.He barked back and nudged her again.
He frowned as he was dragged around like a doll.She shook her head and pushed him.
She eventually escaped with the excuse of packing and locked herself in her room. Sorting through her things.He chuckled a wolfy chuckle an took off.
Ren got into the car just be fore they were going to leave. This is going to be a long car ride.She took off after him
She spent the day packing and hiding from everyone.He ran faster
Ren stared out the window for the duration of the trip.She ran after him almost keeping up
She was brought downstairs as the pack grew restless with the arrival of her soon to be mate and members of his pack. She sat with her younger pack members, her niece cradled in her arms.He brought her close to the packs house and stopped, looking back at her to ask her if it was okay.
He got out of the car with some of the younger pack. They are were a little on edge being in a new territory. A few of his younger cousins ran to catch him before he started moving towards the house.In answer, Cosette walked past him.
Her father and his betas waited outside the house to greet them all before they met the rest of the pack.He trotted along behind her.
His father and the elders of the pack went to greet them. He hung back with one of his younger cousins who was trembling.She trotted up the steps to the house.
She got up with her Niece and cousins and went to look out the window.He shifted and stretched as he walked behind her.
He talked quietly to his cousin leaning down to see him.She shifted on the porch
Her father walked to meet them. "Welcome to our territory. I'm Zac, the alpha and these are my betas." He gestured to the men beside him.He smiled and watched her.
His father nodded," I'm Jake and these are my betas." He said gesturing to the men behind himShe looked back at him as she opened the door
He nodded. "Please, come inside.." He moved to walk back inside.He smiled at her reassuringly.
Claria listened to the pack business and was told to remain afterwards as the rest of the pack left.
"Holy...wow. So you haven't been allowed amoungst the pack your whole life? That's why I don't recognize you."
