Hate to admit it but yeah...movie sucked! They might as well start over but they already screwed it up entirely

Cherie They should turn it into an animated series like avatar the last air bender. That would be amazing.

Kelly Brigid ♡ The movie was even worse than the first I think -_-

message 54: by Neha (new) - rated it 5 stars

Neha How about an anime?? That would be great too.

Susan Am I the only one who noticed that they used the prophecy from the fifth book (the one that went 'A half-blood of the eldest gods, shall reach sixteen against all odds...) in the second movie?!

Cherie Well yeah... That was the big prophesy. The one that they didn't want Percy to know yet. I don't think they got a prophesy in the second book.

message 57: by Neha (new) - rated it 5 stars

Neha And in the movie it was 'shall reach 20 against all odds' *facepalm*

Susan In the second book, Clarisse got a prophecy: 'You shall sail the iron ship with warriors of bone. You shall find what you seek and make it your own. But despair for your life entombed within stone. And fail without friends, to fly home alone.'

Cherie Oooh yeah that's right :b

I honestly think they made it harder and more expensive to put in all the extra crud they did. It would be much cheaper and less work to just go with the story line. Plus, it was just more confusing to everyone.

Anna I'm glad Thalia was in this movie though, because I remember she was talked about in a Lightning Thief deleted scene.
You know, the huge plot point integral to the next two books?
Cut for time.

Paige Brown I think I saw something about them not making another Percy Jackson movie. I don't know if that was an internet rumor, but if it was not....Thank gods!!!

Cherie I think Logan Lerman announced that there will be no more.

Hannah Kelly Rebecca wrote: "So I've only just got round to seeing this film, because i was honestly dreading it after how the first one was.... WHAT. THE.ACTUAL. FUCK. WAS. THAT?! I'm a massive fan of the entire series and th..."

Woah calm down! But it was awful. I like to pretend the movies just don't even exist.

message 65: by Theo1290 (new)

Theo1290 I thought the 1st movie was ok... at least it didn't screw up the major plot line to the entire series, yet the 2nd one was TERRIBLE. It had even further stupid additions (not to mention getting rid of a bunch of awesome moments from the book) and this one DEFINITELY screwed up the series. Kronos resurrected 3 movies earlier is one thing, but for him to suddenly eat Luke really f****ed up the series. Luke is probably now going to become either a good guy, or start his own individual army for his own needs while opposing Kronos's and Percy at the same time. F*** the director of these films for ruining what could've been such a fantastic movie (and Rick Riordan's amazing work)

Maryclare Fawver You think the second was bad, what about the first one?

message 67: by Eva (new) - rated it 4 stars

Eva Pohler Please don't blame Rick Riordan. When the movie rights are sold to a producer, the author usually does not get the option of making demands on the producer. Sometimes an agent is able to negotiate on behalf of an author for some say, but usually not. Rick is not to blame for the fiasco being made by the film industry of his books.

I'm usually an optimistic person--trying to see the good where I can--but I agree with those who have been disappointed in the movie adaptations.

message 68: by Cherie (last edited Aug 08, 2014 01:33AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Cherie Rick riordan didn't have anything to do with the movies... He said he hasn't even seen them. I think they would have been much better if he was involved.

message 69: by Eva (new) - rated it 4 stars

Eva Pohler Agreed!

message 70: by Emily (last edited Aug 08, 2014 04:11AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emily Fuller The movie was indeed terrible and compared to the book... well it shouldn't be compared to the book, there not even on the same level but... is it bad that I want to watch to movie again. It was so bad I've sort of forgotten what has happened and want to watch it again to have a fun fest of throwing popcorn at my TV and overall talking slack about the director and the poor actors. Am I alone here or was this film made to be the perfect bitch fest!!!

Cherie I thought the second was worse than the first... sure the second added some things they left out... but they ultimately ruined the series as well...

Matthew Eva wrote: "Please don't blame Rick Riordan. When the movie rights are sold to a producer, the author usually does not get the option of making demands on the producer. Sometimes an agent is able to negotiate ..."

Who here blamed Riordan?

message 73: by C (new) - rated it 5 stars

C Do not even get me started on how much they wrecked this movie. Ugh... I mean really. Somewhere in their mountainous caverns of books, PJO fans are crying.

Hannah Kelly The movies stink

message 75: by Zoya (new) - added it

Zoya When i first read the series for percy jackson i thought the movie was gonna be the same as the book... Oh well the movie did suck, when they put kronos and gow he got killed by percy, i got really mad, like dude were is the part were kronos uses luke for a body? And was blackjack even in the movie? And tyson was suppose to save percy in dodge ball, and was suppose to be claimed not tyson knowing who his dad was!!! Also were is tantatlus (i dont know how to spell his name or if this is even right) the movies did suck. Also in thr lightning thief anaabeth didnt go with percy to olypus and there were only 2 gods in the throne room not all of them!!!!

message 76: by Zoya (new) - added it

Zoya And guys somthing i didnt get in the book...when the ship blew up what happened to clarisse? Also tyson was in the ship when it blew up not killed in the movie and fell from the hill into the river!!(-_-)ゞ゛

Khadeer I thought an unwritten rule of the fandom was that we NEVER mention the movies… They are absolute shit

Sophie I love this series, so a few years ago I decided to see the first movie for my birthday...it was a horrible mistake. It just made me depressed.

Marce Haberkorn Totally agree with all of the post, the movie sucked to the infinite and beyond. Hated it, like every single ´PJO fan. Also, boring as hell (cause even Tartarus is more fun than it)

****Kelly***** Lets just say it was terrible and deserves an award. I'll go first.

Sea of Monsters, I give you the 'You obliviously didn't read the book' award

message 81: by Claire (new)

Claire Maifield If it makes you feel any better the actor playing Percy quit and they can't get an other one cause his face will be different and stuff so there will be no more movies. =D

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

IT IS OKAY TO BE CUSSING

Liliana Smith i hated the movie.

****Kelly***** we haven't even discussed the FIRST one yet.

HAHAHA. XD Finally. I did the same.

Nocturn Fighting was ok, funny parts ok, plot fluffed up to hell and heaven!
Why!? I mean really I was disappointed with the first movie they took out so many funny parts! And Battle scenes and ......
well lets just say what the heck no third movie going to happen with that ending!
And the actress for some of them didn't match at all the discription!
But what disappointed me the most was the camp....
I mean seriously what part of " on a hill with a single pine tree with a strawberry field" don't they understand!
the camp not supposed to be in the woods the Poseidon cabin was never described that close to the lake. I didn't see any canoes! And last but not least the Cabins weren't even in a horse shoe shape at all!
They messed up the setting, the plot and the character what part of that has anything to do with the book really!?
Do you think the budget for the movie was to small?

Allison It ruins the books which are awesome.

Nocturn Allison wrote: "It ruins the books which are awesome."
