This is reminding me of Mara Dyer where they're just hinting that there's paranormal stuff but nothing is coming out of it. Chapter 16: (view spoiler)[ I felt like that was a huge info drop but it was some interesting stuff. I know we needed build up for the "great reveal" but it sort of annoys me when in a book's summary it says something is going to happen and that it takes half a book for that to take place. I find the dialogue a bit unnatural. There's a random mix of contractions and not using contractions so it sounds really strange to me. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 17: OH MY GOD. Im flying through this book. I've literally sat and read it non stop since i got it. The 'big secret' has just been revealed to the main character. There is a lot of Twilight similarities in this book, like the places the characters go, the skills certain characters have, the characters themselves. Although to be honest the writing is no where near as good as Stephanie Meyer's. I found the beginning to be quite forced and a bit jumpy until it found it's rhythm.

Im nearly at the three hundred page mark now ! I'm sad that (view spoiler)[ the relationship hasn't developed into much now :( I wish they would just get together. It's strange the author decided to go with Dee being all for them being together. Like convincing your best friend to date and kiss your brother is a bit weird for me :P (hide spoiler)] I can't wait to finish this book. I think the concept is really cool and interesting.

Yes! Not changed enough, unfortunately--the first 1/2 of this read that was ALL I could think about, which sort of spoiled the experience for me. Especially given how strong the influence seemed to be...there were several moments I found myself going, "huh. yup. there's Bella and Edward. AGAIN." XD
