Mindy (zzoey) | 10 comments Cyran Cypruss Reeve

Name: Cyran Cyrpuss Reeve
The name 'Cyran' means "spear" in Latin, and significantly the meaning reflects the character's need to drive through his problems and focus on one goal at a time. His middle name, 'Cypruss' is a spin off from the biblical name 'Cyprus' meaning fair or fairness. It was Cyran's father's name, and his father was a just Mundrian, through he might be completely opposite of fair.

Gender: Male

Race: Hahrmun
If the races were to be compared to the typical Elf, Dwarf, Human, and/or Wizard, they would be alike in several ways, though not completely the same. The Hahryene are a fair folk, like the elves, who centralize in one place on Wvern, but they tend to disperse into the world as mercenaries. Because of their well-known tendencies and their knack for mingling with other races, the 'Halflings' have names for specific interrelations. Cyran is half 'human' and half 'elf', thus in real terms being half Hahryene and half Mundrian; he is a Hahrmun.

Age: Appears to be 21; 116 years

Residency: He grew up in a town not far from the capitol of his home continent, but after a crisis stirred, he left to become a traveling nomad.

Occupation: Though it's not a full-paying occupation that lets him live a normal life, it is a job that he takes up for benefits such as recognition in big cities, stronger abilities, and companionship. He took up a few jobs in the Protector's Alliance.

Magical Abilities: Because Cyran is Hahrmun, he was born with a natural gift to feel the emotions of people around him. But a lot of that changed when he joined the Protector's Alliance and gained a bestowed gift from Iknioss. He can read the thoughts from other people as they're thinking it, but he can also delve deeper into their mental barriers and uncover hidden emotions that tip him off to secrets, thoughts, and ideas.

Appearance: His body was worn into a hard, calloused machine. He's almost unnaturally thin from his lack of food while traveling city to city. Sometimes he doesn't even bother to think about it since more things are more pressing on his mind. Cyran is 5 foot 10 inches approximately, his height stunted any further by his Mundrian blood. He has deep set eyes, but they are a light green that almost disturbs the entirety of his dark complexion. He has rugged, uncombed black hair, a constant shadow of dark stubble across his chin and neck. He suffers sleepless nights, so his skin is purple under the lids. During the winter his skin remains a lightly golden hue, but during hot summer days when he's out in the sun for long periods of time, he grows darker and darker; particularly along the neck and arms. He doesn't have time to be himself and dress how he might someday want to dress. He's simple, rough, very lacking in taste and color, and almost immediately, he gives the impression of someone to avoid.

Personality: At first his newfound powers were proving useful and innovative for him, and he felt like he could put it to great use, especially in forming and acting upon a revenge he had for his brother. But slowly the powers began to distract him and exhaust him. He became easily irritable, and with the weight of everyone else's emotions around him, he began to gain inner turmoil. His emotions run amuck under a carefully composed face, but even he can break from pressure. He's impatient, but when he's found his center, he can be loving and caring and kind. He can only direct his focus towards goals one at a time until they're completed. He often feels that if he let go of the act he kept around everyone he knew, he would crumble and no one would understand. He fears almost more than anyone else would, and he fears mostly his brother, thanks to family feuds.

Background: Syrusses is Cyran's older brother. Cyran lived under Syrusses's shadow for years and years, and Cyran was just becoming more independent when Syrusses unexpectedly killed their parents. Cyran spent five years searching for his brother and in those five years, he changed dramatically from a fun loving, cocky little kid to a troubled loner lost without his love interest.

Relations: He's met lots of people, he lost a lot of family. What mostly concerns him is his relationship to Mykensi Harron and her family.

((That's it for now. I'm tuckered out. Phew.))

Karina If Cyran is half human and elf, then I feel like I should be using the term Harhmun to describe Alia as well, seeing as they're in the same world.

Karina Aww I just read the rest of this and it was all really sad. I just want to hug him and be like it's going to be okay. Also, he's Syrusses' brother?!

Mindy (zzoey) | 10 comments Yes, ma'am, he is. It's a giant entangled story of TRAGEDY.

Also, it's just for the book. The roleplay worlds can be called Elves and dwarves to eliminate confusion. I wanted to make my book a wee bit more unique. :)

Karina I always forget you're making a book. I'm just like, wow she's thought this roleplay out very well. Lol.

TRAGEDY is the best!

Mindy (zzoey) | 10 comments HAHAH!!!! To the very minute detail.

I actually have the entire rough draft written. It just needs a TON of editing. And rewriting. Blech.

Mindy (zzoey) | 10 comments YES! yes you can edit for me!! I still have to rewrite a ton...but...ha :) Sure!

Karina YES DO IT SEND IT TO ME RIGHT NOW!

I get that now. It's cool! But also the reason I'm just like "I can't be a part of this...part of the country..." I never know what to call anything so I'm ambiguous.
