I read something about the book on TV Tropes. All I remember is that the character that comes from the alternate dimension is a knight or a paladin, he ends falling in love with the other MC, at some point a woman is interested in the other MC, but he chooses the knight and by the end of the book they're living together.

Edit: I forgot to add that the other MC doesn't live in the same dimension that the knight does. He is from our time.

How long ago did you read this? And is there any way you go back to the book where you saw this?

Well I found TV Tropes too difficult to search, but when I search google for paladin gay alternate dimension, this comes up:
Swordspoint
Definitely has a gay element, from the tags. It's also part of a series so maybe search that whole series.
The Privilege of the Sword also comes up...part of the same series.

Would you recognize the title if you saw it? There are a bunch of gay/LGBT sci-fi-fantasy listopias, here are just two:

No, I don't remember the name of the characters or the title, but I'll try those listopias, anyway.
Thanks!

It was a long time ago and there isn't much that I remember. I tried searching something there, but found nothing.

No, that's not it, but thanks for helping.
I don't recall much, but I'm pretty sure that the character that comes from the alternate dimension is a knight and I think there was something about him showing up at the protagonist's shop.

Raz | 87 comments Is the book set in our world or set in the fantasy world?

I'm going to make a really weird suggestion. I doubt it's this but they may be on the same tv tropes page. Rictor and Shatterstar of the X-Factor comics actually count as this.

Ginn Hale's also got a series out about a Rifter I think it's called or something, which fits this too.

And actually let me throw in Robin W Bailey's Brotherhood of the Dragon books as well.

At the beginning, the book is set in our world. After that, I don't know.
It's none of these, but thanks.

Matt | 33 comments Glory Road by Robert Heinlein starts in this world, then goes into other dimensions. There's one time where they're in a medieval dimension and only swords, crossbows, etc. work in that dimension.

It isn't Glory Road, but thanks anyway.
The book I'm after is part of a series.

Miira | 3 comments This series: http://www.goodreads.com/series/41823... ?

I remember starting it, but not finishing it(couldn't find it at B&M bookstores past the first few volumes, then forgot), so I'm not sure if Beltin and Travis end up together or not.
