This is a book I haven't even read yet, but I just got it in the mail and I'm kind of having a religious experience over the look and feel of this book. First off, I got the cover from the 1984 edition:
Isn't that gorgeous? It's a slim volume at 188 pages, binding never been cracked, pages slighty yellowed & with a mild old paper smell. I love it!
This is described as an underground classic and one of the definitive noir novels of all time. So excited to read it! I'm taking this on my next trip to the Adirondacks. I always take print books with me in keeping with the no tv/computer feel of the place.
