"Y-yeah...never better." He growled sarcastically and sat up, brushing off dust with his sleeve. He looked at the end of the rope and saw the handle of the knife still tied onto the end. "Blade broke." he said and stood up.
"Doing up there? Trying not to die...my reason for coming to Mordor is my own. Though I'm thankful to run into your group, I must ask the same. Why are you here?" he asked.
"Are you forgetting about a certain swashbuckler, Fiera?" Cross asked. "Also, don't drop me!" he cried. No one could hear him but her, but he wished they'd say something in his defense.
"Sorry," she whispered to the staff, "I haven't forgotten, I'm just not going to let this guy die. Let's go." She went off to the Crystal City.
"Uh...Farewell." he said and watched them walk off. He turned his head to the right and looked across the dark land. 'Go after them. At least you won't die as easily' he debated.
Eldyl sighed and listened to the distant explosions erupting from the volcano. Standing within the confinement of this barren land made him feel alone, which could be easily the understatement of the year. No life could be seen for miles, excluding the group which had parted ways with him a few minutes ago. "No point in staying here." he whispered and removed a small pouch attached to his belt, opening it up to reveal some bandages. He grabbed them and started to wrap his fingers one by one. It stun but not as much as being alone, again. After finishing with medical aid, he started to walk into the open field of decaying grass and fallen ash.'I'm an idiot for walking away from them' he thought.
"I know." his voice retorted. It was certainly annoying having a conversation with himself.
'Follow them, or at least do something to where I don't have to die. I'm not ready to have my head chopped off quite yet.'
He stopped mid stride and glanced to his left. It would be easy to follow the group, considering the type of ground.
With his mind decided, he turned and followed the group.
Anne had stayed a bit away from the group, finally deciding it would be best to follow her friends. Before doing so, however, she looked back at him and said, "you know, yarrow will help your hands better than just a bandage-" she pointed to a leafy plant beside him an then continued walking.
Eldyl gave a thankful nod and reached down, taking the plant gently in his hands before doing anything with it. He unraveled his left hand and started to crush one of the leaves, placing the pieces onto his raw fingers."Thank you. I'm sorry that I appeared like this to your group." he said and rushed up to keep pace with her.
"I'm Eldyl, son of Ithellen Yarusan. Yours?" he asked.
Anne looked at him as he applied the yarrow and gave a brief nod in welcome. "Oh, no, it's fine- we just tend to get a little cautious..." She had a moment's hesitation about telling him her name, she hadn't even trusted Aragorn when she had met him... But he seemed nice enough, and it wasn't like she was famous or anything. "I'm Anne, daughter of- I don't even remember the names of my parents," she said smugly, ending with a bitter smile.
Eldyl nodded and started to re-bandage his hand. "It's fine to be cautious. But for me when a group of people who are nether Orc's nor goblins pass your way, I can't afford to ignore them. I've been traveling by myself for about a year or two now."
Anne nodded. "I see. Seems we're quite different. I would most likely stay say from the group. I've had a past that doesn't allow mento trust anybody that easily." At his last statement she nodded. She knew what it was like to travel alone for two years.
She set her jaw, wondering how to put the situation. "Well... Awhile ago, in the streets of Bree, a follower of Sauron abducted me... And... Assaulted me, if you know what I mean..." She sifted her eyes to the ground. "A wood elf and his friend from the Mirkwood, Woodsong and Legolas, rescued me and brought me to Rivendell." She sighed. "I fell I'll, and they nursed me back to health, but once I was well enough I took of immediately. At the time I was not so fond of elves. But Woodsong... He melted my heart and persuaded me to come with him, and that's how I became to be a part of the group." She looked back at him. "Yeah. Long story."
Eldyl stayed silent a few minutes after she spoke. A subtle breeze helped to separate the awkward pause before he finally said something, "You've been though a lot. Is this Woodsong still here? I'm part elf myself but throughout my life I haven't had good experiences with them. I would love to meet him and finally see a noble elf, one that is not dabbling with the legions of the Dark Lord."
She bit her lip. "I have not seen him in some time, but I know where Legolas is. Perhaps he can tell us," she offered.
((FINALLY GET TO SEE THE HOBBIT!!!))"That would be a near greatest dream come true, to meet Legolas himself. I know of him through stories told to me by my father or other people around our homeland, but I thought it was too good to be true." He said and looked from her to the high cliff's looming above them.
"Is that so?" The blonde haired elf-prince said as he appeared before them. Anne gave a small start and rolled her eyes.
"Well, there he is." She said with a shrug.
Legolas smiled. "What am I needed for?" He said.
"Well, there he is." She said with a shrug.
Legolas smiled. "What am I needed for?" He said.
((If we weren't restarting, do you think I'd be here?))
