Shadow was in a sort of nervous daze, her head was fuzzy and she couldn't think straight, there were moments when a clear sort f sharpness invaded her mind but that only caused pain, she felt the car stop, she was curled up in a little ball.

Aspen was searching around for Shadow. He had no idea why she went into the alley without him. His mind automatically went to the fact that maybe the people that had killed their parents had found out about them and took her. Now he was really worried.Martin got out of the van and pulled Shadow out slamming the door shut and pushing her into the house

Shadow was thinking about Aspen but her thoughts were interupted by the rough push of one of her kidnappers.

After a few hours of looking Aspen saw some muddy tire tracks. He smirked a little aand followed them on foot for a while.Martin nodded, "That is true, then no one will ever really know what happened that day."

Aspen had managed to use all of the skills his dad taught him about following people to follow the trail to the house and a van. He didn't know if they had moved shadow or not. He hid behind a tree not seeing that Shadow had managed to escape them.Martin sat on the couch for a little while before going to check on Shadow. When he opened to door to see the open window he yelled, "Nick!!! She's gone!"
