Aspen had followed her up the tree and sat behind her knowing he could see over her head.

Shadow turned her the upper part of her body around. She looked at him and smiled. "Looks like our guy is lazy." she said. She had seen their killer eating chips and watching TV on his couch.
"For now, that's how it seems." Aspen said
Aspen pulled her against his chest.
Shadow felt Aspen pull her close, she leaned into his chest, inhaling his scent. She kissed his cheek.
Aspen smiled and kissed her head, "How long are we going to sit in this tree?"
"I don't know, probably until he goes out of the room so that we can sneak in or, we can get out of the tree now and sneak in using a different way." she told him.
He looked down at her, "We are going to sneak in?"
Shadow raised her eyebrow, "How else are we going to get the information we need?" she asked him.
"You do know that we could get caught." He said.
"Yeah, you're right and I didn't come prepared." she said after thinking.
"Chlorofoam." she answered sheepishly.
Aspen shook his head, "You are amazing."
"Why thank you." she said and kissed him.
She kissed him one more time, pulling on his lower lip. "Let's go to my house, I need to get the Chlorofoam." she said quietly.
"Well how else are we gonna get a killer to spill?" she shrugged sheepishly.
Aspen shrugged," I really wasn't sure."
"Well..." she trailed off, gazing into his eyes.
"We could still be caught, you know Shadow." He said softly
"Well, we could always tell the police... We have evidence." she told him.
" Let's do that... And if they don't do anything then we will interrogate him ourselves." Aspen said
"Ok." she said. ""Now, let's get out of our tree..." Shadow motioned.
Aspen nodded," okay ill go first." He said starting to climb down
Shadow started climbing down after Aspen.
Aspen dropped to the ground waiting for Shadow
Shadow carefully started to climb down. She felt her foot slipping, "Aspen.." she managed to say and fell.
Aspen saw her start to fall." I've got you." He said as he softened her fall. She however took him down when he caught her so they both ended up in the ground
Shadow felt Aspen catch her but still, both of them were on the ground. "Thank you." she breathed out.
"No problem." He said in a gasp having landed hard on his back
She slowly rolled off of him and into the ground. She shakely stood up and tried to help Aspen up.
Aspen shook his head " Just let me lay here for a second." He said softly
She nodded and joined him on the ground.
Aspen smiled a little and sighed softly." The ground is very hard."
"Yeah, I would have a concussion if you hadn't catched me." she said and rolled onto her side.
Aspen smiled slightly." Yes or a whole lot of broken bones."
She shifted closer to him not caring that they were on the ground. "Yeah." she said and put her arm around his chest in a hugging manner. She kissed him lightly and simply lay there with him.
Aspen smiled gently holding her and placing his hand on the side of her face. They lay there like that for a little bit while Aspen got his breath back
Shadow leaned over and kissed him deeply, "Ma hero." she smiled. (( I have to go, bye ttyl:)))
