Does reading PC books make you more interested in Colonial/Frontier history?

For me? Yes! The Colonial/Frontier period is not one of my favorite eras. I'm not really sure why but I think of it as a dark and hard time in history and I know that there are worse times in history that I do read and love. Go figure! I even googled a few incidents/places mentioned in her books and read up on them. If it wasn't Pamela Clare I might not have read them and given them a chance but I'm certainly glad I did.

I agree. I wasn't really that interested in it, to be honest. I guess I am kind of bad when it comes to early US history. Not a big fan because it makes me think of slavery, which is one of the darkest periods in US history. I always did like Native American history though. I like the way Pamela fleshes out the period with real and created but very vivid characters, and gives a very balanced portrayal of the various sides of the story.
I wonder if the reason I don't care for that period is because of the way the old authors used to write the period. Back in the day I'd read just about anything and read many duds. Including books about that time that I didn't like.

Absolutely! I love that she takes historical fact and makes it entertaining to read. And when I want to know more, which is often the case because of how fascinating and exciting PC makes it all, I google the information.

I think that if you want an author who writes for you, it changes everything!
