New Members and Librarian Status

Has anyone noticed new members getting librarian status--temporarily?

When I joined, I had libararian status for a few days. I've noticed a few book series that I already cleaned up that new members are adding books a) that don't exist or b) are already here, but with their personal view of the book like "A very good book."

I see the name(s) of the people that added these and I've tracked down the books they added and fixed, but I'm continuing to find this and wondered if anyone was aware of this.

I believe that anyone can add a book, whether they are a librarian or not. However, only librarians can edit authors, books and combine titles.

And yes, being a goodreads librarian is a neverending quest of fixing/combining books that people have added manually.
