Okay, who is this dude? He looks pretty crabby.
Maybe a "chunkster" cupcake will make him happy.

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) Oh my - I was just about to send 106 for puzzle blue.

A couple of questions since I am new to cupcakes puzzles.

1.Do you post the answers - I would be curious if I got the answers right.
2. If the puzzle is sent by another team do we still have the opportunity to send the puzzle for our team. 3. Does it matter who sends the answers first?

Thanks

There are some puzzles where you post the answers like the sliders but there are others like the spot the difference where you don't want to give away the answers to anyone so those you send in an email.

Each team has the oppurtunity to send in the puzzles so you can communicate with your team to see who should do which puzzles :)

Nancy, there are different types of cupcakes (rewards) and puzzles.
In most cases every team gets one cupcake for each puzzle. That doesn't mean that only one person can play. You can send me your answer even if someone from your team already got cupcake.
In case if you are wondering what cupcakes mean, your team captains can exchange them for books - some as part of challenge and some give your team advantage books.

Due to a study done by Vicky showing an increase in the number of words per page in longer books, the Mods have decided to lower the requirement for redeeming books with the “Triple Threat” cupcakes to 200,000 words or 800 pages.

A little something extra,
for those of you who can't wait.
For a regular cupcake,
your craving may abate.

PUZZLE #108: - Nine piece Slider puzzle is here. (August's "series read & watch" of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in the Team Wild Blue Yonder thread.) - Okay to post in thread. Please take a screen print and show the "Very good, you win." box. Please do NOT just post the bookcover.

I hate for you to go through withdrawal,
To go without, no doublets at all.
So, here's a fun little word ladder,
To keep you doublet lovers from being sadder!

PUZZLE #109 - Doublet from “Flute” to “Cello”

Please DO NOT post solution here. Mail to ratminichallenges@gmail.com With Puzzle # in subject line. Be sure to tell me what Team you are assigned, though I have most of you memorized!

Doublets are word-link puzzles first created by Lewis Carroll. Changing only one letter at a time, and using the clues along the side, go from “flute” to “cello”... or vice versa!

FLUTE -
- contend, quarrel, wrangle; to engage in sharp debate; to make or utter complaint
- move swiftly and lightly; moves in a in an erratic fluttering manner* (verb)
- lower (a note) by a semitone; shoes with no heel height* (verb)
- achievements that require great courage, skill, or strength
- a kind of cloth made by rolling and pressing wool or another suitable textile while applying moisture or heat, causing the fibers to mat (noun); (verb) to mat together
- prehistoric stone or metal implements with a beveled cutting edge, probably used as tools or weapons (noun, plural)
- small rooms in which prisoners are locked up or in which monks or nuns sleep
CELLO

*(3rd person singular present, plural)
