Bridget (bridget224) | 66 comments Hey everyone. I read The Fault in Our Stars and absolutely adored it. I want to read more of John Green's work but I've heard that if you read Looking for Alaska after TFIOS it doesn't seem as good. I don't know, I'm just wondering if I should give it a try, like if its worth it? Was it good?

Jodi (readinbooks) I read it this summer and I really enjoyed it. This was my first John Green novel I have read. It made me want to read more. I haven't read TFIOS though.

Haley Looking For Alaska didn't affect me the same way that TFiOS did, but John Green is an ASTOUNDINGLY great author and I would highly highly recommend all books of his that I've read so far. Yes, you should definitely read Looking For Alaska. I wouldn't read it assuming it will be equal with TFiOS, but you may end up liking it more! Paper Towns is also EXCELLENT.

Bridget (bridget224) | 66 comments okay, thanks! I will read it anyway, and yes I've been waiting for Paper Towns to be available at my library! haha

Haley Good :) Let us know what you think about either/both of them!!

Katie (paige_turner_) | 27 comments I preferred Looking for Alaska to TFIOS...just wondering am I the only one?

Haley Well, which one did you read first? Because that sometimes changes how I feel about the books I read :) For me, though, I just connected on a different level with TFiOS because cancer is something I've dealt with so often. So to read about it as John Green wrote about it and know how real and well done it was just struck a chord with me in a way Looking For Alaska couldn't

Haley I also read TFiOS first so its what introduced me to John Green and the rest of his writing :D

Chloe (ohitsmechloe) I read The Fault In Our Stars first and literally sat curled up in a ball crying after I'd finished, so I waited a while after I decided to read Looking For Alaska. But I'm glad I did, it's equally as good, but unlike TFIOS, it didn't make my heart break into a million pieces, even though I did cry a little bit. Definitely worth reading!

Bridget (bridget224) | 66 comments alright I'll definitely read it! and I know! TFiOS is the first book that's made me cry! haha

Alaska Rose (alaskarose) | 6 comments i really like both books but i preferred Looking For Alaska... plus it's named after me so it automatically makes it better ;)

N | 276 comments I liked Looking for Alaska better but my teenager didn't even finish reading it and loved TFIOS.

Santino (tinoprinzi) Very I is subject to opinion. After reading TFioS I read looking for Alaska, an abundance of katherines and paper towns and enjoyed them all, in varying degrees.

Ilayda | 1 comments Same as you when I first read TFIOS I was pretty impressed and thought that I should read some other works of John Green and well I started reading Looking For Alaska. Actually I really enjoyed it. It's the same author, same style. That's why it was pretty enjoyable, though. I think you should definitely read Looking For Alaska if you've enjoyed TFIOS. As you know the plot is different so I don't think you can easily compare the two books but both were really worth reading I guess! Hope you'll enjoy reading Looking For Alaska!

Bridget (bridget224) | 66 comments okay thank you! I'll definitely read it!
