Please separate my Books

Hey guys, I need some help.

When I first became a Goodreads author I saw someone else had added my original book to Goodreads and when I sent in the request to have the new version placed on Goodreads it was merged with the original version.

However now I want the two editions separated. The two books are very different anyway. "Tricks of the Trade" was only 7 chapters long and was more like a teaser book. "Ballistic Incantations" is a full book of nearly 20 chapters and very different.

So I'd like "Tricks of the Trade" separated from "Ballistic Incantations/Magic School U.S.A"

I tried to separate it myself but it said I needed librarian status which I do not have.

Any help would be great! Thank you!

Maybe you can put something into the edition field to mark one edition as incomplete or abridged? The only case I know of is Victoria Schwab's The Archived SNEAK PEEK, which were several chapters offered at Netgalley for reviewers instead of a complete ARC.

That could work but the only thing is "Tricks of the Trade" had a 3 star review on it, which isn't bad but added onto the other 3 star review I have for the new version might inspire people to leave more 3 star reviews and nothing higher.

Ballistic Incantations is going up for review soon and I'd rather start with an even slate. Especially since the new version is a lot longer and I corrected what the 3 star reviewers suggested I correct.

But it wouldn't be the end of the world if it stayed on either, so it's okay if it's not possible. But if it is possible i'd like to try to separate them.
