Ebony smiled back at him. "Well, that was fun. So, the sheriff's your dad, huh?" she asked.

"it might have slipped your mind." Ebony said sarcastically. "Well, at least that explains it." she said.

"Why you're so messed up." Ebony said jokingly. She couldn't keep the smile off of her face.

"You know. Why you're so much like me." she said "Oh, and why you think girls can't fight." she said before walking away laughing a little.

He walked behind her. "Make one mistake and you're scarred for life."

Ebony laughed "Nah. The mistakes that scar you are the ones like when you forget to duck when someone does... this." She turned and swung as fast as lightning with a punch right at Night. It was playful, but just enough to knock him around a little if he didn't duck.

Ebony rolled her eyes and smiled back. "You should if you don't want me to actually hurt you." she said.

Ebony jumped onto Everburn. "I'll be sure to remember that." she said with a smirk. "Where to now?"

Ebony looked around. There wasn't much for miles, she knew, but she didn't want to sit around here. "We can start east, then. There's a town about forty miles that way, and if we can't get there by dark, there's plenty of places to set up camp where we wont meet any... unfriendly people." she said thinking about Night's dad.

" you're the boss." Night smiled and reined hellfire.

Ebony chuckled. "In that case, I'll lead." she said with a sly smile before taking off on Everburn.

"Oh really?" Night smiled and started to follow on Hellfire. "Everburn!" The horse abruptly halted and Night took the lead.

"I CAN'T STAND IT WHEN YOU DO THAT!!!!!" Ebony screeched.

"I know!" Night hollered back and rode eastward.

Ebony growled angrily, but continued to follow, mumbling.
