i dont understand the ending. why would ben kiss cassie all of a sudden? why does evan love cassie if he's been with her for only a month? does cassie love evan? does ben like ringer? who will cassie and ringer end up with in your opinion ?

I want Cassie and Evan to end up together... even though some certain complications at the end of the book may make this impossible :'( I would also like Ben and Ringer to end up together. I really hope there is no love triangle, I need a break from them. To many YA books have love triangles these days, though I think authors have gotten the message to stop writing so many love triangles, or I have just gotten books that lack them.
I don't think Ben kissed Cassie cause he likes her. I guess he was just grateful? Maybe in the next book it'll be some kind of weird love square-type-thing. Maybe Ben will have torn feelings between Ringer and Cassie and Cassie will be torn between Evan and Ben and Evan will still love Cassie and I think Ringer likes Ben. But I don't think that will happen because that's kind of predictable. I'm not even sure what to expect for the next book.
It's simple, yes there's going to be a love triangeI think, well, hope, that Cassie will end up with Evan, and also that Ben will end up with Ringer...that is it

I think neither of the boys will like Ringer and there will be a love triangle between Ben and Evan and Cassie. Just got a feeling about that.
I think Ben kissed Cassie maybe because Evan asked him to? He might have told her Cassie had a crush on him back in school, who knows. Considering he didn't even remember who she was I doubt it was because Ben liked her.I guess it's too early in the series to say for sure. I think I need to have more Ben/Cassie interaction and relationship development to be able to say who she'll end up with. It does seem to be setting up a Ben/Cassie/Evan and/or Ringer love triangle depending on Evan's fate.
I desperately hope this does not escalate into a love triangle because I feel those are always extremely distracting!!
Probably. Cassie x Ben/Evan. Honestly, Evan is good with Ringer because they are both so tough and experienced. Cassie and Ben because they are both from the past and they have Sammie in common and they are weaker.
However, Cassie is better with Evan because he brings out the best in her, they are "in love", and because they are both survivors.
I think that there will be a love triangle. With Evan possibly dead and Ben seriously seeming to like the Badass Chick type such as Ringer and Cassie I think that he'll eventually try something whether or not Cassie lets that something happen or not I don't know. Maybe she will and it'll be a total Lourie from the Walking Dead situation one guy kills the other. Or maybe When Evan does return Cassie will be so happy and such that Ben's just blown away Plus if she just throws herself at another guy after she supposedly loves this one what does that really say about the character. I also find love triangles to be distracting but most YA novels always have one because most girl audiences find that sort of thing interesting and that mostly makes for a main plot especially when theres a big threat that the main characters cannot eliminate right away or else that just seems to rushed it takes the edge of them completing that goal. I just hope that if Evan is died that there isn't a new male character brought in or that sort of thing if he is alive because those who've read the house of night stuff trust me it gets tooooooooooo confusing.

I think your right I mean that would be awesome if he just come out when they most needed him or like if the ubber gooey love traingle does happen at that point. I think that'll be interesting to see :D

cassie and Evan, Ben and ringer please! I don't think there will be a love triangle. I'm pretty sure Ben is falling for ringer... or he's just obsessed with making her smile. it's so cute. we'll find out about ringer's secret in the second book, probably. I think been kissed cassie to thank her. and all the things he'd heard from nugget. it was his way of saying thanks, I think. I laughed so hard when cassie asked him if he remembered their bus conversation and Ben didn't remember. Evan is perfect for cassie. I hope the author doesn't give in either. I want to find out more about ringer like her real name! ah it's torture to have to wait another year for the second book!
also I got the vibe from the ending that the author was trying to show us that cassie was moving on. like throughout the book she mentioned a lot about the past, feeling sorry for herself, and she thought she was in love with ben. but by the end, she was moving forward, in love with someone else, and realizes that life doesn't pan out the way you always dreamed of. at least that's the impression I got anyway :)
When Cassie asked why Ben kissed her, he never answered.... And it's weird, because he acted like he didn't know her. And plus, I thought he liked Ringer.. And then there is Evan... I think it's more like a LOVE SQUARE then a triangle, because it's Cassie, Ringer, Ben, and Evan...
I know everyone hates love triangles, but I love them. It makes me feel like the character I like is appreciated if she is being sorta fought over (I can't describe things well). Also, I hope it is a Ben and Evan both wanting Cassie, instead of a Cassie and Ringer both wanting Ben. I just really like Cassie.

Cassie was ok. She was really annoying at some points though. Other times she was awesome.
Evan's Gonna cheat on Cassie with Ringer and Cassie's gonna go to Ben and that's gonna happen
Ringer+ Evan, Cassie+ Evan. Except Cassie will kiss Ben by mistake and Evan will see, then he will find solace with Ringer. Then something will happen and Ringer will end up with Ben and Cassie will end up with Evan
Okay I'M leaving this convo due to the madness it's causing me I just wanted too read one book where she's badass and likes one guyyyyyyy!
Don't know why, but I seriously hated Ringer from her introduction. I'm tired of love triangles, but I'd rather have one instead of allow Ringer to live. Also, Ben is boring and Evan rocks. I don't care if he's kinda creepy. I still adore him.
I ship Evan and Cassie ONLY and Ben and Ringer that's how it should be kept!
I hope not. I don't like love triangles, I think they're rather illogical personally. I'm hoping for a Cassie/Ben relationship but I doubt it'll be that easy. Evan's not dead because that would be such a momentum loss to the plot but I don't want him and Cassie together, it's just weird/creepy.
