Ann - I had a brand new copie of this book from my library sitting on my nightstand for 3 weeks. Before I realized it, my time to return or renew it was up and I had not cracked the cover because I was over-extended with too many things to read. I had to return it because there was a HOLD on it. I just decided that I am going to go to the book store tonight and buy my own copy!

Oh I agree. Judge the story on the story. I'm glad you enjoyed it! And it's good to know about his female characters. It's one i should pick up at some stage, so I'll keep an eye out at book fairs and such.

I just read Ender's Game this year. And i really enjoyed it as a story (although I do agree there was a little bit of... ickiness... hovering over the book). But I agree, horrible, horrible man.

Pragya - I think you get a slightly different perspective if you listen to him read it. Of course that is, if you listen to NG read it himself. It makes the characters sound so much "more". Of course, his dreamy accent does not hurt at all! I think there is a link somewhere, where you can listen to him read it for free, but I do not know exactly where. I listened to it before I read it.
