"...Maybe..." He slurred, resting his head on his arms which were crossed on the counter. "My head hurts..."

She giggled again and touched his back,"How about I take you home." she said looking at the employee signalling for the bill to be brought.
Zepher slightly nodded before looking around himself. Everything was a slight blurry, he couldn't tell what or who he was staring at. It turned out that he was staring at Kris.
Kris smiled and stood paying the bill and helping Zepher up and grabbed his bag,"Come on big boy." she said putting his arm around her shoulder.
Zepher was able to stand, but not without Kris as support. He smiled a little dreamily at her before his arm went around her waist gently. It was more than likely because he had no idea what he was doing, for he was deep in the back of his mind right now, and the fact he was drunk.
Kris giggled,"I'm not sure you would like me. I have a really cold body temperature." she said leading him out of the diner and outside.
"...You are...actually pretty...warm..." He said to her, slightly leaning into her more. He could help but have a slight chuckle slip out of his mouth for no apparent reason what so ever.
She smiled and without thinking kissed his head,"Are you sure about that?" she whispered to him.
With a nod Zepher murmured a 'yes' to her. He chuckled at her kissing his forehead. "Are we walking or do you have a car?" He asked, his words slurred together.(gtg)
Kris was silent for a second,"I guess we're walking. That is of course unless you have a car or something like that." she said worrying that this guy might puke on her.((awwwws ok))
(Sorry!)Zepher pointed towards a red car on the other side of the street once they got besides it. "That's mine... We can use it..." He said to her, nodding weakly.
((its fine I've been I've been busy with school anyways))"I'll need the keys." she said walking him toward the car.
He checked his right pocket first, then his left. "I think it's in my bag..." He said to her a little quietly.
She nodded and turned her back to him so he could lean on her and opened his bag and saw all the vampire slaying equipment and swallowed hard and started looking for the keys.
Zepher seemed to be less drunk than he was as he managed to stand by himself after a minute or two
Kris found the keys but her hand grazed a cross causing her skin to burn and she cringed closing his bag quickly and turned back to him and unlocked the car. She opened the passenger door putting him inside and walked around to the other side getting in and pulled the sleeve of her jacket up to cover her burn,"So where am I driving to?" she asked turning on the car.
"...Umm..." Zepher shrugged. "Your place?" He suggested. Honestly, he had forgotten where he lived cause of his drunkness.
Kris sighed,"I warn you it's very dark there." she said starting to drive towards the outskirts of town. On the way she started thinking of what she was going to do when morning arrived. The drive was short and she stopped the car in front of a house that seemed like it was going to be swallowed by the trees. She parked the car in her driveway and looked over at him,"We're here." She said leaning over unbuckling his seat belt and reach over him opening his door then got out and walked over to his side,"Come on."
Zepher looked up at her before climbing out of the car, accepting her help when she suggested it. "...your house seems...oddly familiar..." An inaudable mumble escaped Zepher.
Kris grabbed his bag before closing his door. She heardhis mumble but wasn't sure what he said. She put an arm around his waist unlocked the front door and swung the door open and led him inside. The inside looked like the house of any ordinary person with the exception of big thick curtains that makes the house darker,"Think you can make it up stairs?" she asked closing the door with her foot.
"...Possibly..." He said to her as he glanced around the house. When they got to the steps he grabbed the handle and used that as support as he started up the stairs.
She followed him up the stairs on to the second floor landing. She led him down the hall and opened a bedroom door and took him inside,"If you need anything just call for me I'm right across the hall." she said slowly letting him go.
Zepher nodded. "Alright..." When she closed the door he immediately went to the bed and lied down, passing out once his head hit the pillow
Kris sighed and went to her room closing the door and sat on the edge of her bed. She took off her boots and undressed and looked in the mirror and saw healing burns and wounds from the previous hunter that she barely escaped. Out of frustration she punched the mirror and got redressed. She escapes one hunter and brought another into her home...perfect. She opened her door leaving shards of glass on the floor.
A few hours later Zepher woke up with a groan, a hangover causing his head to ache. "Ugh where...?" He looked around to see how dark it was. "Well whoever's house I went to this time really loves the dark..." Zepher got up from the bed and slowly opened the curtains, his eyes having to readjust to the light. "Geez, this person loves the dark... Oh sh*t... Did a vampire just take me home?" Zepher slightly gulped before he looked around for his bag. "Drat. My bag isn't in here..."
Kris was down stairs having a glass of water. She had wrapped her hand in a bandage because due to the fact that she hasn't drank any blood in a long time and she already had several other wounds she wasn't healing as fast as she should. She was worried that Zepher would try to kill her but tried not to think about it. Kris had his bag by her foot so he would have to talk to her like a civilized person before he got anything out of her.
Zepher was glad his necklace was still on his neck. This was one if those moments where his necklace was very handy. He took it off and held the cross part in his hand before exiting the room, light from his room lighting up the hallway before he closed the door, darkness engulfing him once again. "...Why does this house.... Seem familiar?" Then it hit him. This used to be his old home, abandoned ever since he was ten. "...Well. It's been eleven years and you're still standing as tall as when I was little... Who inhabited you now..."
Kris noticed a low echo coming form upstairs causing her to feel a bit more on edge. She stayed seated and crossed her arms taking deep breaths. This was horrible she felt scared and it was annoying her but she knew she had reason to this guy was a well known hunter and she wasn't quite fond of them just like their not fond of her. She wearily drank her water keeping Zepher's bag under her foot.
Zepher started his way towards the living room, thinking that may be where the person who brought him in was at. But he started thinking: Could he be wrong about this person being a vampire? He did that once and he almost killed an innocent bystander, so he didn't want to think so quickly... There had to be some sort of proof that his theory was correct besides all of the dark rooms...
Kris sighed and rubbed her pale face. She got up grabbing her glass and Zepher's bag and walked into the kitchen setting her glass in the sink. Her red lipstick looked brighter against her pale skin that seemed paler since she was tired.
Zepher climbed down the stairs and passed the kitchen, entering the living room and looking around. "...What am I doing... I have more supplies at my house, I just need to get out of here..." Zepher mumbled, going to the window besides the door and looking out the window. "...This is no where near my house... Oh, my car is in the driveway..." Zepher mumbled to himself... But something kept him from leaving. There was an odd feeling that told him he couldn't leave just yet. "...gra... I can't go yet..."
Kris walked out of the kitchen and saw Zepher and froze. She wasn't sure what to do. She looked at the bag in her hand and lightly set it down behind the wall and took a step forward,"So you're awake." she said her voice sounded like velvet but she felt tense and scared.
Zepher jumped at Kris's voice. Kris? She isn't a vampire... is she? Zepher thought before turning and looking at her. "Yeah. I just woke up... Sorry if I was a burden last night..."
"Not at all. You seem like an interesting person when drunk." she said with a giggle. If she could convince Zepher that she was normal then she definitely was getting good at acting.
"Heh." Zepher chuckled. "Well, thank you for letting me stay the night. I swear I just sometimes forget important things and end up hungover the next day."
"Well you did say that it was a long day of work" she took a step closer,"And the great thing is no one here is judging." she said giving a sweet smile.
Zepher smiled, stuffing his necklace into his pocket before looking at the house. "You know, this house almost looks like a life size replica of my childhood home..."
Kris took a look around,"That sure is weird." she said knowing that the house was once abandoned but she just took it as her own putting up the curtains,"Where is you're childhood home?" Ugh childhoods. Kris thought, she was never fond of her childhood since her parents left her for dead.
"It was... Until my parents died... From a... Car accident... I'm the last of my family... They said I was lucky..." Zepher huffed, thinking of the real truth.His family was attacked by vampires, but oddly, the vampires spared him. He remembered hearing 'too weak...wait till older...turn....' But that's because he was slowly being passed out from being hit in the back of the head. Now he's attacking them, and he wasn't going to spare even one...
"At least you know your family."She muttered,"Sorry to hear that." she said crossing her arms. She looked up at him and touched his arm lightly,"But they're right. Even if you lost a lot you should be glad to be alive." she said staring at him with her golden eyes.
Zepher looked at Kris before a smile crept on his face. "I am lucky, am I not?"
Kris nodded softly,"Yeah and that means enjoy your luck." she said catching Zepher's contagious smile.
Zepher chuckled a slight before seeing a slight bit of his bag's strap. "Oh, Kris, did you happen to pick up my bag before we left?" Zepher asked her.
((Sorry so very sorry have been so busy))"Oh of course." Kris said reaching behind the wall picking up his bag holding it out to him having a bit of hesitation.
(It's fine)Zepher smiled as he took it out of her hand an into his own. "Thank you, Kris." He turned to leave, but looked back at Kris. "Would you... Like to hang out sometime; when I'm not half asleep, that is, and get myself drunk."
Kris giggled softly,"I'd love to." she said nodding a bit. She hopped that it wouldn't have to occur in the day light.
"...Seven at my apartment? I can give you the motel and address; I'm working to get enough money for a new house." That, and I'm protecting the town from vampires, and keeping a house to where vampires can easily kill you is not a good idea. Zepher added mentally in his head.
