Up to chapter 16
(view spoiler)[ have to say I found it hard to get into, like very slow to start off with but it did seem to get better. The plot was a little weak and unrealistic at times eg when her hair got burned by his "friends" yet he didn't contact her to apologise or anything and he can't say that was to protect her from getting involved with him that was bloody common decency, a phone call to check she was OK would have been nice considering it was actually partially his fault.

Although well the characters meh I could easily leave them, Ryder was a bad boy in every sense of the world, you could feel him wanting to reform and change but not knowing how to take that step and I guess he was trying to when he took Luce to the homecoming dance but then yeah he abandoned her, which although his ulterior motive was a good one he just didn't approach it the right way.

So yeah Luce had every reason to be pissed off at him but guess what? Yeah she forgave him for abandoning her. I wouldn't that's for sure and I wouldn't fall back to lip locking soon as he'd apologised once yeah once.

I hope I start seeing something more realistic reactions from Luce have to say I dislike her more than Ryder even though he's a little callous.

(view spoiler)[ ok so I ploughed through to the end and I have to say I like the happily ever after but something fell flat not sure I'll make the effort to read the others in this series, don't get me wrong I like that it didn't end in a cliffhanger, I hate cliffhangers! But I don't think the author can really go much further sign these characters because I think if I read about Luce once more I might actually hurt her myself lol.
