"That's his sister." She said, guessing what was wrong.

Glenda flinched at the words, "he never mentioned a sister.." Her tone was less angry and more hurt, but she continued to shimmer, her body trying to do what she demanded.
"Did you ask him about his family?" Saff asked.
She scrunched her nose, "I don't know!" She couldn't remember, she was pretty sure she asked him where they were and he never answered her.
"Then don't blame him so much." She said gently. "He messed up but you freaking out isn't helping."
She growled lightly and looked at the girl, not liking her right now.
"Sit by the fire and calm down okay?" She said softly.
Glenda grunted and did as Saff told her. She sat right in front of the fire and watched it.
"You worried me and Thundra." She said, her brow creased.
She sighed, "I'm sorry..." She didn't mean to worry them, but she was heart broken..
"Calm yourself. And drink your hot chocolate." Dani said, looking back at Glenda. She fixed the other girl with her intense gaze, serious for once. "He doesn't mention me a lot. For a few reasons. The main one is that I remind him of the past life that he would prefer to forget." She said flatly, looking back down at her cocoa. "I'm Danielle, but call me Dani or we're going to have problems even worse than we have already." She grinned slightly, but turned to hide the sudden flash of pain in her eyes. Se didn't doubt he hadn't mentioned her, and she knew why, but it still hurt.
Glenda flinched, first with anger then with sympathy; Why would Gildor not tell her? Why would he not tell her about his family? she had been so open with him..Glenda looked at Dani and couldn't imagine how much it would hurt if Kambern got a mate and didn't tell his mate about her..
She got up from in front of the fire and walked up to Dani and touched her shoulder, "hey... I'm sorry for over reacting.." her voice was softer then before.
Dani glanced up, her grin back. "Hey, we all make mistakes." She said, summoning up the remnants of her cheerfulness to hide her true feelings, keep them out of her voice. She shook her dark and sunlightened hair back from her face, taking a drink of her hot chocolate. She pointed with her cup to the mug on the table. "There's yours, if you want any."
Glenda nodded, "thanks," she picked it up and brought it back to the fire.
Dani smiled, a real smile this time, not a forced fake one. "No problem." She said sincerely, pulling the remote out of the couch cushions. "We have TV, and I have pretty much ever song ever written."
Thundra bounced, "cartoons! Cartoons!"
Dani laughed and tossed him the remote. "Knock yourself out, kid."
He shrieked with joy and flipped threw the channels and found the family channel.Glenda laughed softly, "your never going to get that back," she told Dani, not taking her eyes off the fire.
Dani shrugged, grinning. "You make it sound like that's the only remote I have around here." She laughed. "Besides, I like Scooby Doo."
Thundra bit his lip with excitement and watched the tv, laughing at every bad joke and every time Scooby stole food from Shaggy.
"Hey Thundra. Want me to make you some popcorn, and maybe a rootbeer float or ice cream sundae?" Dani suggested, finishing off her drink and standing to put her cup in the sink.
He bounced more, "ya!!! Root Bear Float! Root Bear Float!"
Saff stood awkwardly while Glenda and Danielle talked. She crosse her arms though more to support herself than to pass judgement on them. "I'm going back to Gildor's." She whispered and turned to leave.
"Saff, wait!" Glenda jumped up and ran over to hug her, "please don't leave us alone with her," she whispered so only Saff could hear. Glenda didn't trust people easily, and Dani's joy scared her slightly.
"come on!!" dani grinned, reaching into the freezer and pulling out the vanilla ice-cream, then pulling A two liter or rootbeer from the fridge. She grinned as she pulled down the cup, her gaze sad as she glanced after Glenda. Despite her sunny, ignorant attitude, Dani was not stupid. She knew gland didn't trust her, and the other girl probably didn't either. She tried to shove the thought away and concentrating on putting together the promised rootbeer float.
Thundra ran over excitedly, "yay!" He peeked his eyes over the counter to watch Dani make his drink.

Glenda led Saff to the fire, "do you think Gildor will come back...?" She asked in a small voice, hoping he didn't stop loving her because she got jealous.
"I'm sure he will." She said soothingly.
Glenda nodded and sipped her hot chocolate. She glanced at Dani as she made Thundra a root bear float, "what do you think of her..?" She asked in a whisper.
"I don't like her." She admitted, her own voice barely audible.
Glenda nodded, "I'm not sure yet.. There has to be a reason Gildor didn't mention her," she looked at Saff, "right?" She was worried he didn't trust her enough to say he had a sister.
"I don't know." She said helplessly.
She nodded and sipped her drink more, "I'm worried about what the pride is going to think of Thundra and the baby.." She told Saff, changing the subject.
"I don't know." She repeated, feeling even more helpless.
Glenda looked over at her little brother and wondered if the pride would want him here still since he's only a water draki.. She had been kicked out of two prides because Thundra wasn't good enough, and didn't want to leave this one.
"How far along are you?" Saff asked, unsure.
Glenda thought for a moment, "maybe a month?"((It's probably more like three days, but it felt like a month, so I'm saying a month :p))
"Still got a long time then." She said.
Glenda nodded, "I know, but time flies.."
"I suppose so." She said. She wondered how much longer she could stay with them....
Glenda played with her long red hair, "maybe I'll get a hair cut..." She thought out load.
"Your hair is so pretty long though." Saff said.
She nodded, "I know.. But.." She missed it when it was short and still brown; back before she first manifested.
"But?" She questioned and saw Glenda touch her hair absently.
Glenda shrugged, "it's nothing," would Saff judge her for missing her mom?
"I don't believe that and neither do you." She said softly.
Glenda sighed, "before I manifested I had short brown hair; my mom liked to keep it short because It was easier to take care of.. It was probably about the length of that wig.." She hugged herself, "I thought maybe if I cut my hair then I'd be closer to her..."
