I haven't read the book guys...not yet at least. But I HAVE to know us there going to be another one after? *to the people that have already read it* like Ik it may not say but you can just tell by the way a book ends whether or not there is going to be one. Before you answer tho "NO SPOILERS!!!"

I still can't stand this book! It's been like what, 2 weeks since I read it? It still irks me...
I just can't stand John! I know, you like him, but i'm not surprised if he dies or if something 'bad' happens to him....I just don't think he's leader material....hate me or not, I just think that John might possibly die in the next book.
I think that 9 is more of a leader than 4. 9 probably LIKES all of the fighting and he really gets into it and wants to train everyone. and 4 is not like that
I like 4!! But you right, he is not pulling his weight. He's too much into Sarah and I'm not sure how important she is. If she died, he would probably become stronger and develop more legacies like 7 did. 9 is my fave! He's kickass. If they don't get their act straight, 4s nightmare will come true.

Just finished the book loved every single minute, just going to have to wait now for the next one to find out what happens :( Beware spoiler.......
Can't believe the twist to eight dying and five working with the mogs what's that all about !??
My first thought when we met Five was, 'Awww. He's cute when he's clueless'. But then he's a traitor and I think, 'Die, you worthless piece of scum! DIE!'
*SPOILER ALERT*As soon as we encountered Five I had a feeling something was off with him. He wasn't excited about meeting other Garde and was just... a little off. I KNEW there was something not right when they were going around the dinner table and talking about their experiences and his was lacking any details. Seriously, you've been on Earth for all these years and you're going to sum up your experiences in 30 seconds? It's like he's the Garde version of Adamus. I really want to know his whole backstory and how the Mogs "converted" him to their cause. Maybe if he'd been able to spend more time with his CÊpan he couldn't have been able to resist whatever they said or did to him to make him sympathetic to their destructive cause.
I can't wait to see how the story will continue!

yes, i hate him but i can't help but feel a little sorry for him, coz he still hesitates in harming marina and eight, so he still has some good in him..i think? well he's still bad and with number four's dream, he still saw five with the mogs, and like you, i want to know his story....
^JocelynBut the only reason he held back on harming Marina and Eight is because they were nice to him!! Six and Nine, whose instincts are usually on point, knew something was up with him and didn't readily accept him as part of the group. Five wouldn't have felt guilty killing Nine.
I really hope that Four's dream was a precautionary dream, like "this is what will happen if the Garde fails." I can't imagine Ella as Setrakus' little zombie!

But Nine didn't like Five because he was different and he was 'unfit' and small.....not because Nine felt that he was suspicious....I kinda agree with Jocelyn, I do feel sad for him...but that doesn't mean I forgive him for what he did to Eight :P

I even read the book again, hoping its a big mistake that Eight is really dead,:'(, but if Five believes that the other Gardes have to join the mogadorian cause because the mogs are the winning side, blah blah blah well, the jokes on him, because how can they even think of winning? The evil ones are always defeated at the end..and i hope Marina fullfills her promise that the next time they encounter five, she's gonna kill him..
Spoilers** omg I read it before summer ended and I started the book so excited but as I finished it I was so angry and sad! I loved 8, I can't believe what happened! And I know it's ridiculous to love a fictional character but him and marina were so cute together. And what the heck is up with Ella! That vision that John and Ella had scared me so much and now I'm so afraid that that will happen, I'm dreading the next book. I hope it takes a happier turn. Oh and I think John makes a good leader, he kind of the more practice thinker. OMG and 5! I thought he was acting odd from the beginning, but I didn't really think he would TURN ON THEM! he took every comment so seriously!! He has gone nuts! I'm scared and I'm way to serious about this series haha.
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!I literally just finished the book and when I finished it I was drinking water and so I got so mad at how the book ends just like that I did a spit take and sprayed spit water all over my mum in front of me and she got sooooo mad!!!!
But I don't get it how Five is upset about killing Eight, I mean he liked him more than Nine and Six but he got so upset when he killed Eight. I mean it wasn't like they were friends or anything. And I think Nine has to learn when to keep his stupid mouth shut because he's the one that got Eight killed.

He's one of the best characters in the book, along with Six, Eight and Sam :P
Just finished the book (got side tracked a little)...I kinda felt that was how it was going to go. Sad, but somewhat necessary.I wonder what time span the next 3 books will cover, and what will be covered in The Lost Files books. I hope the next book comes out early 2014.

There is no description of who killed 8, just that a sword went through his body. 5's dagger could be considered that sword.
The predictions from the rest of the panels will come to fruition in time. I have a feeling that instead of rebuilding Lorien, the Garde need to save & rebuild earth.
so thats why one of the panel showed the earth divided in two??mh...should be...

After the war is over, and the Loric win, they will need to decide if they should save Earth (their home for most of their lifetime), or Lorien (their home planet). John will push for Earth, so he and Sarah can be together.
Just my theory.
I'd like a book or two to be written on the Loric Elders. I think that will help us readers get a better understanding of the whole storyline.
So that would mean that part of Ella and 4's vision will come true, earth being destroyed. Maybe they will help rebuild earth and then eventually travel back to Lorien because they do live for a long time. And it will give the planet a little bit of time to heal itself. Also I don't understand why the government is helping the mongadoriens! Don't they see how evil they look? Are they really that greedy to sacrifice an entire country and planet for their weapons and knowledge!? They must know what happened to Lorien, right?
Actually i think they know nothing about the lorien-mogs fight!!they only know that other aliens (lorics) are on earth to destroy.....and the us gov want weapons.....if you look through the lines you can find the endless problem of humans....to have more and more power!!!i doesnt matter how... :P

However, Ra was wearing 7 pendants in that vision. We don't know if that includes 6's pendant or 8's pendant (Since 6 was killed then, and 8's body was left in Florida).
Let's assume he's already wearing 6's pendant, and does not have 8's. That means there are 2 Loric still alive...Ella & I'm assuming 4. One other thing we don't know, does Ella have a pendant? And would she have given it to Ra upon her capture?

I totally agree with you on this. The Mog's have told Humans what they wanted to get us to cooperate. Of course they wouldn't give enough technology for humans to fight back, once the Loric were defeated.
about the pendant..i think ella doesnt have one....the author would have talked about that!!and...she is not one of the "official" new elders, the pendants are their numbers and shes not the tenth!
