Chris Haught (haughtc) | 916 comments I plan to start it this week, in a day or two. Just wrapping up Tigana first. I should be ready to start with discussions on June 1st....

Robin (robinsullivan) | 629 comments I might be late for June 1st but should be ready soon ;-)

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 916 comments Not as far as I wanted to be by June 1st, but I'm moving right along. About 120 pages in now....

Tracy Dobbs | 121 comments I've got 40-50 pages to go.

Ahh, so you're at about the point where you're thinking, "There's no way this is going to reach any kind of resolution by the end... what a jerk," right? ;-)

Tracy Dobbs | 121 comments Well, sorta....I'm also one of those people who take sneak peeks at the end of books(drives my girlfriend crazy), so I know where it's headed.

Ahhhh, you're one of thoooooose people ;-). Bet you don't read much Agatha Christie. I've got a friend who actually reads the last CHAPTER of every book before he starts it. How's that for strangte?

Tracy Dobbs | 121 comments Depending on the book, I read different amounts of the ending. And I usually don't do it before I have read anything at the beginning. Usually, I can get to about the halfway point, then there will be something that gets me going. Then the pressure builds up....and I just NEED to know more... I'll start reading the last two, three pages; if that doesn't satisfy me, I'll read more.

Most interesting. The suspense is just too much for you, eh? I like the surprise, personally, but to each his/her own :-).

Tracy - I understand. I don't read the ending but I do skim for characters names to see if they are going to die or live. Can't help myself.

Robin (robinsullivan) | 629 comments I find this all so funny - I would never jump to the end first - I don't want to know !! It never occurred to me that people might jump ahead - I wonder if Michael considers this when he writes....hmmmm I'll have to ask him.

I'm a total chicken - I can't take losing a character unexpectedly. If I skim for names then I have fair warning of events to come. I don't want to know how things happen but I need a peek so I can avoid major emotional trauma ;-)

John Beachem | 373 comments LOL, hey, it's cool that you care so much about bok characters, Libby ;-). Like you, Robin, I was rather amazed by how many people do this. I could never even consider it...
