C.M.J. Wallace | 38 comments I was just told that the Facebook pirating site Read Online Stories and Books has been removed. I checked and it has. Thank you to everyone who helped force Facebook to do this.

Other pirating sites are out there and others will pop up, but if we make an effort, we can do something about it.

Elaina Roberts (emroberts) | 32 comments Unfortunately, the site that actually hosted the books is still up. The loss of the Facebook site, though, should help to reduce traffic to the site.

message 5: by Kyra (new)

Kyra Halland (kyrahalland) my cover artist Katt found a bunch of facebook pages where the page owners had downloaded her and other people's art, put their own logos and titles on it, and re-posted it as their own with no credit to the real artists. :( she was going around posting notices that this was her art and it had been stolen, and reporting the pages, but it's like playing whack-a-mole with the thieves.

Elaina Roberts (emroberts) | 32 comments Yeah. So many think that just because it appeared online somewhere, it's free for anyone to use, alter, etc. Not sure when that belief got popular but I wish it would die a painful, fiery death.

Laurie Elrod (laurieyelrod) | 21 comments Gah, can't stand a thief! I hope she is successful in knocking them all out!
