The taxi stopped in front of the boardwalk not long after Ben had got in. He pulled out some cash and gave it the driver. Soon he found himself alone by a trashcan. Now, how to waste an hour. The man before had given him an idea. He found a shop and bought the newest newspaper. He settled down onto a bench and began to read about the latest political stuff and all the other things. Surprisingly, it was quite interesting.

(( Her dress--> (view spoiler) ))["br"]>["br"]>
((That dress is adorable))
Ben slouched on his bench, thoroughly into the newspaper. He had to admit he was pleasantly surprised by how insightful these were. With his thoughts on nothing but the article about a 70 year old ladies cat disappeared, he took no notice to Alice appearing on the boardwalk. These were quite easy to get lost in. Now he could see why so many older adults had clung to this last bit of an older age.

Alice walked further down the boardwalk until she spotted Ben's unmistakable hair showing while he read a newspaper. Clearly he hadn't noticed her or he would of said hi so she decided to mess with him. She walked quietly over to the bench and sat down next to him. "Excuse me," Alice cleared her throat, "do you have any candy? Old guys always have candy dont they?"
((SAME i need some cute dresses ): #girlprobs))
Ben blinked out of his reading daze, wondering if the child was talking to him. Old? OLD? He dropped the newspaper in his lap, a dignified expression on his face. "I am not oldlittle child." He turned, finally seeing that it was Alice. He pushed her shoulder lightly, still frowning. "You little.." He stopped himself, his mouth returning to a grin. Silently he turned away and picked his newspaper back up. His eyes quickly found where he was he and pretended to keep reading.

((OH and sorry, i was at work... X_X))

((Lol, its okay girl I understand :D))
Ben stayed quiet, waiting for the suspense to build. He tried to picture her face at the moment, without effort. "Excuse me, little girl, but you are interrupting this very interesting article on a bunch of hamsters that have been disappearing." Ben spoke from behind the newspaper. Luckily it blocked her view of him or else she'd see the wide smile on his face. He waited patiently behind the newspaper, having completely given up on finishing reading it.

Ben was about to open his mouth, but quickly shut it. A smirk held on his face as he listened to her footsteps walk away. When she was good distance away, he dropped the newspaper and stood up. "What if I like your bothering?" He called after her, tucking his hands into his jean pockets, a dimpled smile taking place across his lips.

Ben laughed at her accusation, rocking back and forth on his heels. "As tempting as my paper is," He paused as if considering the two choices. He took a few steps towards Alice, biting his lip in mock seduction. "You are more tempting." He finished, running the last bit to her side. He finally noticed her dress and couldn't help but notice how it contrasted nicely with her hair.

"Very tempti-tempting." He playfully mocked stuttered as she circled him. Where her finger had touched, now blazed pleasantly. "Why do you tempt me so?" He laughed, shaking his head with a smirk on it. Ben took a step towards her, leaning near her ear. "Do I tempt you?" He whispered it quietly, soon leaning away. This whole conversation was beyond amusing. He couldn't help but let a small laugh slip out.

"Your words are pleasing to my gentle ears." Ben bit his lip again to keep from laughing. He took her hand gently in his own and raised it to his lips. He lightly brushed his lips against her skin. "It seems fair to say, we are both in utter temptation for each other." He let her hand fall as he up righted himself. "If I dare say so, your dress looks exquisite on you too." He winked teasingly, putting his hands behind his back.
((Ohmy I just realized what I wrote and uh I'm watching pride and prejudice so excuse my posts for the rest of the night.))

Ben walked slowly after her, his face in a large smirk. Upon reaching her, he leaned over the railing. A laugh slipped out and he shook his head, turning to face her. "You bring out the weirdest side of me." He nudged her lightly, looking back over the beach. The water looked calm and relaxing, it probably was a bit cold at this time of the year.

Ben for one moment wondered why Alice had that small effect that made him turn all silly and what not. It didn't make sense. He brushed the thought away, turning to look at the rides before them. "Are you up for some rides?" He asked quickly, his eyes wide with excitement. He had always loved rides.

Ben walked after her, enjoying the way she skipped across the ground. "It can be your choice first." He looked around at all the amusement park rides, each looked enjoyable and fun. It wasn't too crowded today, unlike most days. He thought back to a time he had come with his family. They had waited in line for over an hour!

Ben nodded, looking up at the huge Ferris wheel. "Excellent choice." It spun slowly around its axle. Ben admired it silently before taking a few hasty steps forward. When Alice wasn't following him, he turned to face her. "You know Alice, you have to move your feet to get there. I can help you along." Ben grinned as he reached out and took her hand in his. Quickly he turned around and walked a bit slower towards the Ferris wheel, pulling her gently behind him.

Ben noticed her hand shaking, a quizzical expression taking place on his face. As he faced her, he took her other hand in his empty hand. "Goodness Alice, you are shaking like the Japaneses earthquakes." He eyed her thoughtfully, attempting to read her fear. Was she afraid of Ferris wheels? Or maybe something else? He couldn't guess.

"The Ferris wheel was an interesting choice then." Ben noted, smiling kindly. He let his hands drop, hoping she would forget about his cold hands. He followed her in the line, noticing it decreasing fast. Perfect. "I have a cold heart. It rubs off on my hands." He joked , though it was partly true. With his now free hand, he rubbed the back of his neck.

Ben gazed at Alice, a bit impressed she would try to conquer her fear. He turned to look at the Ferris wheel, finally noticing they were at the front of the line. Ben reached into his pocket and pulled out a few dollars, which he handed to the man. Silently he walked towards their own little carrier. Before he stepped into he looked over his shoulder, "Are you sure you want to do this?"

Ben sat across from Alice, looking out the side of the carrier. The view from the top would be amazing, he could already tell. "There's no going back now.." Ben nodded towards the guy pushing a button, which caused the whole thing to go into motion. The Ferris wheel creaked from lots of use, as it began its circle.

((I'm actually terrified of heights,so i can perfectly imagine myself in this situation..... x_x))
Oh dear.. Ben watched her breath in and out, trying to keep the amusement from his face. He was beginning to worry about her mental health though, the longer she gripped the bars, the more red and unnatural her hands looked. Also, the ragged breathing was concerning. "Alice, its going to be alright. Relax, loosen up your grip, and look at me." He spoke soothingly, leaning towards her a bit.

She closed her eyes and then turned her head towards him, "It's so high, what if we fall?" she asked opening them to look at him. She let go of the handle bar but she regretted it, she felt like she didnt have any control and it was killing her. "I dont want to die," She said closing her eyes again.
"You won't fall or die, silly." Ben watched her carefully, wishing the tension throughout her body would disappear. Even if we do fall, I'm already dead so.. Ben didn't share that thought, for good reason. He turned his gaze to look out. It was beautiful. He could see the buildings from the city and the beach too. The view was breathtaking.

Ben laughed, her thoughts were impossible. "Then we would die together, isn't that romantic?" He stood up and walked slowly to sit beside her, their legs barely touching. "Here, if we fall, i'll catch you." Obviously it didn't make much sense because he would be falling too, but the thought was what counted, right? He bit his lip, trying to imagine this situation from her side.

"It's hard to come by romance these days." He shrugged nonchalantly, like he didn't have a care in the world. "That is probably the nicest thing you've ever said to me." Ben pointed out, grinning over at Alice. As they talked, a huge gush of wind made the carrier sway unnaturally in its spot. Ben bit his lip, sure this would freak out Alice.

Ben froze, her words hitting a cord in him. That is exactly what I'm doing in a way.. He brushed that thought away, telling himself he was protecting her, not him. Ben watched her lose control, his eyes wide. The carrier stopped at the top, probably letting people out in the lower ones. "Alice, look at me." He gently used his fingers to turn her gaze to his face. "It's going to be alright. Nothing will happen." He tried to soothe her.

Ben nodded slowly, looking over the edge to see how far until they could get off. Probably only five minutes, he estimated. "You are welcome." He let a small smile enter his own face, seeing she looked a little bit more confident. "We are almost to the bottom." He confirmed this, while his slender fingers brushed a small strand of hair from Alice's face. "Now little girl, You just have to be brave a little longer." Ben spoke in his old man voice from before, a teasing glint in his eyes.
