Well, this is a poem from Lord Byron. Years, years ago when I had my first break up, I read this poem over and over. Every time I read it, it change depending on my state of mind. I learned to let go. Grieve for the moment, but not for a life time. The last two lines summed up that moment in time, but I thought to myself "never with silence and tears" I was over it. Plus moving on lead me to my love of my life. Sweet! LOLWHEN we two parted
In silence and tears,
Half broken-hearted
To sever for years,
Pale grew thy cheek and cold,
Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour foretold
Sorrow to this.
The dew of the morning
Sunk chill on my brow—
It felt like the warning
Of what I feel now.
Thy vows are all broken,

I hear thy name spoken,
And share in its shame.
They name thee before me,
A knell to mine ear;
A shudder comes o'er me—
Why wert thou so dear?
They know not I knew thee,
Who knew thee too well:
Long, long shall I rue thee,
Too deeply to tell.
In secret we met—
In silence I grieve,
That thy heart could forget,
Thy spirit deceive.
If I should meet thee
After long years,
How should I greet thee?
With silence and tears.
Its a great poem. One of my favs.

My first books from him were The BFG (The Big Friendly Giant) and Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Witches and Matilda. Roald Dahl's writing made me want to write. I wanted to write as amusing, engaging, fantastically, intelligently, descriptive and creatively as he did. Because of him I have 'flowery writing'. Because of him I became over-imaginative in my imagination. Because of him I became attracted to higher sounding terms and vocabs and wordy and imaginative authors. I wanted intelligence because of him. I wanted certain types of books because of him. I looked up to him. He fostered my love for reading and writing. I really wanted to meet him some day. He's at the core of my entrance and permanent stay in the world of words. He's fundamental in my framework.

One of the girls from Jersey Shore's tagline was, "I'm the sweetest bitch you'll ever meet," and could be used to describe me also. I can be extremely giving, funny, and sweet and sometimes people mistake that for weakness. Then they are shocked and amazed at what rains down on them because what also lurks inside is a strain of pure evil that enjoys destroying things that hurt me. When pushed I step out of myself and this cold calculated thing takes over as my defense mechanism.
I sometimes regret it later, so I work real hard not let her out to play that much.

"That thy heart could forget,

This poem stuck with me. I take it to mean, "remember to look at the big picture".Fragmentary Blue by Robert Frost (1920)
Why make so much of fragmentary blue

"We except the love we think we deserve. " - Perks of being a Wallflower. I love this quote because I think it really rings true about all sorts of relationships. It spoke to me. :)
