Melyssa | 4 comments POA is definitely my favorite of the movies....well tied with OOTP.

The one thing I liked most about POA....Harry's hair. It was by far the best out of all the movies.

And Sirius was great in POA. Gary Oldman was a excellent pick for Sirius.

The POA movie was actually what got me to start reading the books. I wanted to know more about the Mauraders and Harry's patronus as a stag.

I actually wish they had kept the Firebolt story the same in the movie as in the book too. It would have been more exciting to see it confiscated and Harry trying to get it back through out the movie. I think it would have helped with Sirius' part in the movie as well.....although I really have no complaints about Sirius in the movie :D

Me neither, Sirius is awesome. In fact, I liked how all three of them looked in POA.

I don't know, did he dye his hair or something?

Or a wig, you know, to make it oily looking?

It looked pretty real in the movie, but I'm fooled easily.

message 70: by Pandy (new)

Pandy | 637 comments I think in an interview when Alan Rickman was asked if he is often recognized for his role in Harry Potter he said he wasn't because he normally doesn't go out with a big black wig. I don't know - I'm fooled easily too. I wouldn't be able to tell in the movie. I thought Jason Isaac's hair looked real enough, but that's a wig too.

Novin | 225 comments hmmm...
hmmm?...
uhum! I like PoA because of Lupin and Sirius, Lupin is my fav. teacher, and Sirius is my no.1 favorite character!
P.S. If any one has re-read it, have you noticed how annoying it is while re-reading that every one is against Sirius? I love the book, but I hate it when I read the parts that are about Sirius b4 they find out the truth, specially the part in the Three Broomsticks ,when Fudge, Mcgonagall , Hagrid, and Flitwick come and say all those things about Sirius being a traitor, and serving Voldy...

I totally understand the re-reading thing, but somehow, JKR keeps making me excited or scared for some reason!

Oh YES SHE DOES!!! apart from the thing I said, every time I read any of the books is like the first time

message 95: by Pandy (new)

Pandy | 637 comments I agree about JKR always keeping me excited, even in the third one. The books always feel new to me, yet I love rereading previous books with future revelations in mind when watching the behavior of characters.

Lyk, even if you already know it. It's really weird. Yeah, every time someone freaks out about Sirius, I'm lyk, hee hee. Even though it shouldn't be funny because I have read it 4 times now.

I was surprised as this is the only book where Harry does not face Voldemort or some form of him at the end ..."

No, it's not the ONLY book. He doesn't face him in the 6th either.

message 100: by Pandy (new)

Pandy | 637 comments Yeah, but PoA is the only book where some form of Voldemort doesn't appear. The memories of Voldemort appear in the sixth, but you're right that Harry never faces him.
