Sangue Cult Dungeons

A place of torture, imprisonment, and death. No inmate has ever escaped with their lives.

Kalika led him into the dimly lit chamber. "Here we are." It was cold, damp, and smelled of blood, mold, and other unpleasant smells. The scuttle of tiny claws on the stone floor indicated that the rats were still around. "Not the best looking place."

Henry's nose scrunched up at the hideous odor, "My god, you guys havent heard of Mr. Clean have you?" He meant it as a joke and an insult at the same time. Henry didnt think he would be visiting this place anytime soon, it was gross and old. It was still fascinating and exciting to him though, but the odor overshadowed it.

[Kristi, Im a dinosaur, hear me rawr! *mew*]

Kalika said "Ive tried to clean this place, but it wasn't worth it after awhile. Whenever someone was brought down here, the odor would pretty much just come back. I gave up about a hundred years ago. Trust me, it isn't easy cleaning this place and its not a task you want."

Henry nodded, not questioning her reason for stopping. He wondered if she actually cleaned it or if she had someone else do it, he would've made someone else do it as a punishment if they did something wrong. "I trust you," Henry added turning full circle to see the whole room.

[Kristi, Im a dinosaur, hear me rawr! *mew*]

Kalika pushed aside some of the chains hanging from the ceiling. "Not a happy place down here. Yet so important. I guess some terrible things are needed in life."

[Ms_Sara_Darling]

"For every good there must be a bad," Henry mumbled, pushing the chains out of his way. There were cob webs and dirt everywhere, he'd hate to stay here for a night. "Have you had many prisoners?" He asked curious as to who had to deal with this god awful place.

[Kristi, Im a dinosaur, hear me rawr! *mew*]

Kalika replied "Not recently, not. In the older days, however, there were hundreds in here at a time at some points. These rooms were filled with hunters, people, witches, demons, and everything you could ever imagine, here to be tortured then executed. It was wrong, but Lady Irene, the ruler before I, believed it was necessary to slaughter anyone who knew our secret. We hid ourselves even more than we do now. It was very dark back then."

"That's a little strange though don't you think?" Henry said over thinking it like he always does. "You guys, well we, want to hide our secret, yet we go find random humans and turn them which makes them know about us," He scratched the back of his neck, "it is a little weird you have to admit."

[Kristi, Im a dinosaur, hear me rawr! *mew*]

Kalika nodded. "I suppose, but sometimes you have no choice. Its a matter of survival. There is nothing we or anyone can do from stop a vampyre when they decide to turn someone. Its part of our nature."

"I guess that makes sense," Henry nodded filing the information away in his mind. "Is there anywhere else you'd like to show me? The odor seems to be getting stronger," He said holding his nose for effect. He saw a cell that was open so he moved quickly to the open door. He regretted looking the minute he stuck his head into the cell.

Kalika saw him head toward the cell. "I wouldn't-" she started, but it was too late. "Do that if I were you," she said, finishing her sentence.

It was indeed to late. Henry was now scarred for life, his whole everlasting life. "Yeah," Henry groaned instantly back by her side, "it's too late, I cant un-see that." The creepiness from what he saw made him shiver, "We should leave before I upchuck all over this nice clean floor."

[Kristi, Im a dinosaur, hear me rawr! *mew*]

Kalika took his hand and dragged him away. She stopped at the stairs, where the smell was not too bad. "Im sorry about that," she said.

"It's fine," Henry shrugged, "but next time someone disobeys you make him clean that up so others dont have to deal with it." His nose scrunched up again as the picture of the room came back into his mind. "Let's go," he sighed, "where do you want to go?"

[Kristi, Im a dinosaur, hear me rawr! *mew*]

Kalika made a face, but didn't reply to the first part. "Well, there is much in this place, but perhaps you would like to see our entire land."

[Ms_Sara_Darling]

Henry smiled, "Yeah, thats sounds like fun. I need to stretch my legs out, its hard to run in this closed off space." He shook his legs for effect and ran up the stairs waiting for her, "Come on, lets go already," he teased her.

[Kristi, Im a dinosaur, hear me rawr! *mew*]

Kalika was beside him in an instant. She laughed at his teasing. He elbowed him lightly. "Real funny, Henry." She then said "Catch me if you can." With that, she was gone, leaving him in the dungeons, running for the outside part of their territory. She laughed as she ran, feeling truly happy for the first time in more than two hundred years.
