Can animals really see spirits? This is a true story.....

Yesterday I was out back with my sister's little 8 week old puppy, Flip (initially they named him Marco but changed his name the next day). He is so adorable. A miniature Chihuahua, black with beige markings (not that his description has to do with anything), at any rate first he is rolling around in the grass when he stops what he's doing and looks toward the screened in porch and starts barking. Well, I didn't see anything besides my little niece's old play house, so of course I am curious what in the world he is barking at.

He resumes his course of play but after like 10 more minutes I am ready to head back in, so I scoop him up. Then all of a sudden he starts barking and growling at that house again or toward that direction. There was simply nothing there that I could see. The more we walked toward that direction the more he barked and growled. So, I changed direction and went back into the house.

I have not been able to forget and I wonder what it was he was barking at. There were no other animals around during that time. What do you guys make of that? Do you believe that animals and babies can see spirits? Now, every time I go out back I am going to search out that area. I would love your opinions.

I do...my cats stares at nothing all the time ( like he is interested in something) and when my daughter was a baby, she would smile and laugh...like she was interacting with somebody or something.

I do too, my daughter who is 3 tells us stories about her daddy when he was younger, when we ask her how she knows she says nanny joyce told her. thing is she never met her as its my husband nan who died six years ago !! plus shes always talking to her when she goes to bed, its really strange but have only just got use to it lol

Wow that is amazing Michelle. I know Flip will stare in a certain direction in the house and get really fixated then start barking like crazy. I try not to let it scare me but it can freak me out.
