Caleb sat on a bench at the park and sighed, he wanted to go home, but he needed to bring Saff and Glenda back of the pride would skin him alive.
Glenda fallowed Gildor to the park. Her smile grew when she saw Caleb sitting on a bench, "Caleb!" She talked as she ran over.
Caleb heard his name and saw Glenda running over smiling. He stood up, "hey."
Glenda didn't show down, she slammed right into him and hugged him.
Caleb couldn't help buy laugh, "hi to you too."
Glenda pulled out of the hug, "I can't stay long, can I ask you a favor?" She asked looking more serious.
Gildor decided to give them some privacy, he didn't know why they'd come out here and he knew it was something that Glenda would tell me about if she needed him.Gildor smiled as she ran forward and almost tackled the guy, he sighed and leaned against a tree, watching them with a friendly smile and a watchful eye
"What's up?" Caleb asked, he hoped she was ready to go back.Glenda ran a hand threw her wig, "if Saff.."
Fear ran threw Caleb, he grabbed her Glenda by the shoulders, "what's wrong!?" He demanded.
Glenda rotated her shoulders to loosen Caleb's grip, "she needs you to go to her pride to grab her sapphire..." Glenda new he would know what that meant.
Caleb's arms dropped to his sides, "she... What? She's not coming back?" He looked slightly hurt, "but we need her..."
Glenda shook her head, "she doesn't like it there, Caleb... Please."
Caleb looked at Glenda's wig, "are you not coming back too?" He asked slightly angry.
Gildor was watching their conversation, he chose not to listen in but he could see the guy getting rather upset, and he didn't like how this Caleb guy was treating Glenda, Gildor took a few steps forward so they could see him there "everything alright?" he asked not even looking at the guy
Glenda was shocked by Caleb's tone; he had been nothing but nice to her up until now.She heard Gildor's voice and looked at him smiling, "everyone is fine," she promised, then looked back at Caleb.
Caleb looked furious; his arms were crossed over his chest and he was tapping his left foot on the ground.
"I-it's complicated.. I just.. It doesn't feel like home.." She admitted.
She watched as Caleb's eyes flickered with anger, "I see, I'm not doing it!" He yelled throwing his arms into the air, "she can do it herself!"
Glenda held back her slight gasp for how wrong she was about him, "Caleb.. She needs it.."
Caleb shook his head, his expression was softer, "I'm sorry Glenda, I can't." Then he walked off.
Glenda sighed and walked over to Gildor, hugging herself, "I'm just going to have to do it," she whispered.
Gildor held her in his arms and watched the guy leave, he felt really confused, but if all they needed to do was get something... how hard could it be? he wondered, "you know I do turn invisible" he said stroking her hair to try and calm her, he didn't know much about his draki, but being in a tribe full of the same draki... well you tend to pick up a few tricks
She looked up at him, "but.." She new he hadn't really manages red much before, "do you know how to do that?" She asked, allowing her worry and fear to show.
Gildor noticed everything written on her face, "hey, don't worry, I'll figure it out, how hard can it be right?" he said with a slight chuckle to try and lighten the mood, "now come on, don't look like that, a smile makes you look so much better" he added giving her another hug
"Okay," she whispered and snuggled up to him. She was still really worried, but she trusted him. She didn't trust Saff and Caleb's pride though, "I'm coming with you though."
Gildor didn't argue that she should come, but if this was the pride she wanted to get away from then he felt a little worried about her, "alright, but you gota stick to the shadows and tell me what i'm grabbing, I don't want you getting trapped somewhere your trying to run from" he said with a slight frown
Glenda nodded, "Saff's sapphire, she left it in the flight field when her and I flew off during my welcome ceremony.." She thought about how insulted and angered they probably felt because of what she did and a new feeling of fear ran threw her.
Gildor tried his best to comfort her, "hey it's alright, just remember that this sort of job is what we visiocryptor are best at" he said trying to get a smile out of her, it may not have been exactly true but he knew that a stealth operation was something he could handle
She could tell he was trying to cheer her up, so she forced a smile, "okay, we should do it today," she thought about how badly Saff wanted to leave, and new she had a guy who was most likely missing her, "probably after we bring all this back, Thundra is probably being a little childish right now," she said in a giggle.
Gildor smiled and chuckled a little, "now I wonder why that would be" he said thinking about how young he was, most kids acted like that Gildor thought, he had even been like that a little "I'm sure he'll be trying to prove he doesn't need help with anything soon" Gildor said with another chuckle
Glenda smiled and rolled her eyes playfully, "lets just go," she said in a giggle, "we have things to do," she pointed out meaning Sapp's sapphire and the pregnancy test.((Just gonna have a shower, I'll brb))
Gildor smiled "Alright, alright, I'm just saying he'll be growing up soon" he said with a grin then began walking faster, "I don't suppose there's anything else I should know?" he asked randomly referring to their mission of getting Sapphire's Sapphire
Glenda nodded, "tell Saff Caleb agreed to do it..." She muttered, "she doesn't want me to go.." Glenda bit her lip and new Saff would freak out if she new the truth.
Gildor couldn't lie, it was one of the things he hated about his family, he was known as a master of deceit, even though he was the worst liar you'd ever meet, "I-I don't know if i can" he said feeling a little embarrassed and sad that he couldn't help
Glenda smiled at him and pulled him into a kiss. When the kiss broke she smiled again, "I'll do the talking, okay? Can you just play along? This is really important, I promised her," she begged.
Gildor smiled down at her, he really found it hard to say no to her, especially after a kiss like that, "You know, if just kiss me like that whenever i'm asked a question, I don't think we;ll have a problem" he said with a sly smile
She smiled at his again and hugged him tightly, "thank you," she whispered. After a few minutes she pulled out of the hug and took his hand, "we should get going, I don't want some of the food going bad," she giggled.
Gildor chuckled a little, "your right, we should probably hurry" he said leading the way back with her hand in his, he smiled back at her and hoped he wouldn't have to worry about anyone asking him any questions(back to the pride?)
Kambern looked at all the rides and people, "you want anything to eat? Like cotton candy or something, or do you wanna hit some rides first?"
"Um, cotton candy?" She said. She wasn't hungry but cotton candy wasn't filling, it tasted really good though.
He nodded and walked her into the mob of people. He held her hand tighter out if fear of losing her. He walked up to a stand and bough her some cotton candy. He payed and thanked the man then passed the candy to Sherry.
"I've never seen green cotton candy before." She said, smiling as she tore off a little piece. She stuck the piece in her mouth and grinned as it melted in her mouth.
He chuckled lightly and led her to the ticket booth. He bought a bunch of tickets and walked around with her, "let me know if you see something you want to do."
"Okay." She said and looked around at all the rides. There were a lot of them and since he had already bought the tickets she pulled him into the lines of the really big roller coasters.
"What, you're not scared of heights are you?" She asked, which would be ridiculous considering they could fly.
"No!" He denied, "just tall things that are made by man to go really fast..." He tightened his grip.
Kambern shook his head and touched her face gently, "I'll be find Pigeon," he kissed her softly, "I want you to have fun."
He did up the seatbelt and held onto the bar for dear life. A guy came and checked to be sure everything was alright and that they were secure. The cart started to move. They went up a hill slowly, "this isn't so bad..." He stated as he watched the sky get closer.
She hooked her arm through his and waited in anticipation for them to crest the top of the tracks. When they did she screamed in delight as they went through a loop.
Kambern held back the urge to swear and gripped the bar. He didn't understand how Sherry could be enjoying this, but was happy to hear her joy. The ride tossed then around and flipped them upside down.
When it was over, her hair was in her face and she was laughing as she tried to flip it back in its proper place.
