I'm curious to know what your process is when plotting out a new novel. How long does it normally take you finish your first draft?

Hi, Elisabeth. First I get the core idea followed by the main characters. I have the overall plot in mind before I start writing a draft, but things always change a bit as I move forward because the characters drive the story.
